Randy Travis Does His First Country Music Video Since His Stroke [Video]

Randy Travis is finally looking better and is back to working again. It turns out that he even did a country music video, even though, it was not for one of Randy’s songs. Country Rebel shared the details about this new country music video from Shane Owens. In this video, Randy Travis makes an appearance, and he is looking great. Fans could not be more excited to see Travis back out again since his stroke that almost took his life. At one time, it looked like Randy would never be out in public again.

This new music video for “Country Never Goes Out of Style” came out earlier this week featuring Randy Travis. He is obviously a fan of Shane Owens, and this is probably one reason that Travis agreed to make an appearance in the video. He recently shared his thoughts on Shane Owens.

“Shane Owens brings it all…vocal, writing, performance, and passion. He has paid his dues, remained committed to traditional country and brings you a song with heart and a story. Songs that will get you through the tough times and enjoy the happy times….He will bless you with his talent and his kindness. To Shane, I gladly pass the baton…”

Shane Owens also put out a statement about what this song means to him. It sounds like they make a great match.

“The song ‘Country Never Goes Out of Style’ means so much to me. It really talks about the way I was raised and the way I live my life today … I think a lot of people live this song daily and can relate to it, especially if they were raised in the country with old-school ways.”

In this music video, Shane Owens shows that he is traditional country, wearing a cowboy hat. It is very fitting that Randy Travis would decide to join this kind of music video. Randy Travis is hanging out in a recording studio for his part on the video. You will see him off and on during the entire thing.

Back in February, Taste of Country shared that Randy Travis actually performed “Amazing Grace” at a funeral. This was the first time that Randy made a public appearance since his stroke almost three years before that, and he looked like he was doing great. This funeral was for Kiepersol Estates founder Pierre de Wet, at KE Bushman Celebration Center in Bullard, Texas. Randy is obviously doing a lot better and does look like he will make a full recovery.

Us Magazine shared that Randy Travis’ wife is now revealing that he almost died when he had his stroke, even though at the time fans didn’t realize that Randy could have lost his life. His wife revealed it all earlier this year.

“They really said there was no hope; go ahead and pull the plug. I went to his bedside and I said, ‘Baby, you’ve got to give me some more fight.’ And I knew that he had had a little talk with Jesus, because he squeezed my hand, and a little tear fell down. And I knew that he wasn’t through yet. He’s a wonderful man; he’s a wonderful husband. I’m blessed beyond measure to get to walk beside him.”
