Johnny Depp Speaks On Video For The First Time Since Divorce And Domestic Violence Drama

Johnny Depp has spoken on video for the first time since his estranged wife, Amber Heard, filed for divorce and accused him of domestic violence.

E! Online reports that Depp is currently overseas touring with his band, The Hollywood Vampires. The video is actually a promotional clip for an upcoming tour stop in Bucharest, Romania. The video is significant when you consider that Depp had been absent from tour videos that the band has released in the past.

“We hope to see you there and have some big fun,” Depp says in the video about the band’s final concert in Europe. “Have fun.”

As the article on E! Online notes, there’s no indication on Johnny’s face that he’s going through any distress as a result of Amber Heard’s accusations. He seems very relaxed and even manages to crack a smile at one point.

Depp has not made any direct comments about the situation as yet, but his attorney has said that, “Amber is attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse.”

The Hollywood Vampires started their tour just days after Amber Heard filed for divorce from Johnny Depp and the day Heard went to the court to seek a temporary restraining order against.

According to E! Online, friends of The Pirates Of The Caribbean actor have said that he seems in remarkably high spirits during the tour.

During a concert after-party in Horsens, Denmark, Johnny Depp met up with his friend, Tina Deleuran, a makeup artist and hairstylist.

Deleuran told E! News that he seemed to be in a good mood at the party. She said that she and Depp shared a bottle of champagne and that he “didn’t drink too much.” He also did not talk about his divorce drama with Amber Heard, Deleuran said.

“At one point, his bodyguard asked him if it was time to go back to the hotel,” she said. “Johnny said no, he wanted to stay and go back inside. Then he gave him a hug.”

Amber Heard has recently claimed that there’s lots of evidence that will prove her domestic violence accusations against Johnny Depp are true.

Entertainment Tonight reports that a source shared multiple text messages that are allegedly between Amber and Johnny’s personal assistant, Stephen Deuters. The texts were reportedly sent during 2014, long before Johnny Depp and Amber Heard were married.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the texts they obtained purportedly start with Stephen asking Amber to forgive a man — allegedly Johnny Depp.

“Think he’s just texted you. He’s incredibly apologetic and knows that he has done wrong,” the first text reads. “He wants to get better now. He’s been very explicit about that this morning. Feel like we’re at a critical juncture.”

“Yes but I don’t know how to be around him after what he did to me yesterday. I don’t know if I can stay with him,” the text’s recipient replied.

The first texter answers, “He wants to see you so much. He’s distraught.”

To which the recipient replies, “Obviously he has no idea what he did or the extent that he did it. If someone was truly honest with him about how bad it really was, he’d be appalled.”

“I’m sad that he doesn’t have a better way to really know the severity of his actions yesterday,” the recipient continues. “Unfortunately for me, I remember in full detail everything that happened.”

Stephen Deuters has since told TMZ that the texts are heavily doctored and that he has never discussed any acts of abuse allegedly committed by Johnny Depp with anyone. He added that Depp has never been abusive to anyone he knows.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard were married for 15 months. They met in 2009 on the set of The Rum Diary, a movie where they played each other’s love interests, Entertainment Tonight reports. Amber would later describe working with Johnny Depp as “probably the best experience I’ve ever had,” in an interview with Teen Vogue.
