Blake Shelton Models Underwear, Gwen Stefani Addresses Engagement Rumors And Explains Mystery Ring

Blake Shelton just added a new skill to an impressive resume that already includes singing, voice acting, and coaching aspiring singers on TV. Blake recently tried his hand at modeling in an ad for Gildan underwear, but his sexy new gig didn’t help him seal the deal with Gwen Stefani. During a recent interview, Gwen revealed that she and Blake are not engaged.

As reported by Sounds Like Nashville, Blake Shelton appears in a new Gildan ad as an underwear model. However, Blake puts his own silly spin on trying to sell skivvies; instead of using sex to sell underwear by posing nearly naked like Calvin Klein model Justin Bieber, Blake keeps his jeans and cowboy boots on. According to the country singer, this is the only logical way to dress in an underwear ad.

“You’ve got all these underwear commercials these days with guys in just underwear, nothing else,” Blake observes. “Come on. I mean, underwear really isn’t underwear if it’s not under something. That’s what it’s for.”

Blake Shelton proceeds to argue that he’s just as much of an underwear model as the guys with chiseled hairless chests who strip down for their commercials.

“How about a commercial where you wear underwear like it’s really worn?” Blake says. “Well, here you have it. I’m Blake Shelton, and I’m modelling my underwear.”

While Blake Shelton has been busy trying to convince the clothing industry to embrace a new kind of underwear model, his girlfriend has been trying to convince the world that she and Blake will not be walking down the aisle anytime soon. During a recent interview with 94.7 Fresh FM’s The Tommy Show, Gwen Stefani shot down reports that she and Blake Shelton are engaged.

“Let’s just take it one day at a time. Everything’s crazy right now so no, absolutely not,” Gwen said when she was asked whether she would be sporting an engagement ring during her upcoming tour.

“Shefani” fans got their hopes up for a Gwen and Blake wedding last month when Gwen Stefani was photographed wearing a diamond sparkler on her ring finger at Wango Tango. According to Gossip Cop, many tabloids reported that the ring was confirmation of an engagement. However, during an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Gwen revealed that Blake Shelton didn’t give her the special piece of jewelry; it was a gift from director Sophie Muller, someone else who is near and dear to Gwen.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Sophie Muller directed Gwen’s recently-released “Misery” music video. Gwen and Sophie have known each other for two decades, so they decided to do something special to celebrate their partnership.

“She’s like living in my house,” Stefani said of her longtime friend and collaborator. “We just bought each other matching rings for our 20th anniversary.”

During her interview with The Tommy Show, Gwen revealed that she gets a kick out of the rumors that she and Blake Shelton are engaged. According to Gwen, she’s started Googling her name to see what the tabloids cook up.

“Can you imagine the amount of gossipy weird stories people make up?” Gwen said. “It’s makes me laugh every day. I actually do Google my name just so I can see the next one that’s going to happen. It’s gotten so out of control.”

One of the recent rumors Gwen likely saw was a crazy claim that Blake Shelton proposed to her by placing a very pricey engagement ring in a bucket of KFC.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani might not be engaged, but Blake certainly cares deeply for the “Make Me Like You” singer. During his recent interview with Rolling Stone, he pretty much described his girlfriend as his everything while talking about the beginning of their relationship.

“I was spending some time with Gwen all of a sudden, and she became my closest ally, my friend, my person in my life who had my back, and I had hers. And created this bond with somebody that I never would have thought in a million years.”

Blake Shelton fans also never would have thought in a million years that the country crooner would star in an underwear ad, but life is full of surprises.
