‘Baby Daddy’ Season 5 Episode 11 Spoilers: Riley Puts Danny On Trial, Ben Blackmails Zoey [PROMO]

Baby Daddy Season 5 returns with an all-new episode this Wednesday, June 1 on Freeform. Based on the official synopsis and latest spoilers, episode 11, titled “Trial by Liar,” will pick up where episode 10 left off, after Riley (Chelsea Kane) found out that Danny (Derek Theler) lied about sleeping with Sam (Daniella Monet) back in high school.

In the new promo for Baby Daddy Season 5 episode 11, things definitely got uncomfortable on their way back from the Hamptons. Danny tried to talk to a very upset Riley but it seems like nothing is working. While he desperately tried to explain that what had happened was in the past, Riley was obviously not letting him slide that easily.

“C’mon, can you just please talk to me? We are home now so let’s go inside and sort this out,” Danny told Riley as soon as they got out of the elevator.

“Actually, I’m home. Not sure where you live anymore. Oh, maybe Sam will let you sleep with her again,” Riley countered.

In another Baby Daddy Season 5 promo, viewers find out why episode 11 is titled “Trial by Liar.” Turns out, Riley will put Danny on trial for “breaking her heart.” At first, Danny thought that she has already forgiven him after he sent her a pizza with “I am sorry” spelled in pepperoni. He, however, was clearly in for a surprise.

The new behind-the-scenes photos also showed that both Bonnie (Melissa Peterman) and Ben (Jean-Luc Bilodeau) would take part in the trial.

In an interview with TV Line, Baby Daddy creator Dan Berendsen explained that they were just testing Danny and Riley’s relationship.

“It’s the Baby Daddy version of Ross and Rachel being on a break. Like, whose side are you on in this?… So they’ll be on a break at the beginning of the season, but I think it’s a legitimate question to ask: Where are they going? When they get through this, it’ll just make their relationship that much stronger.”

Berendsen also shared that viewers will continue to see more of Daniella Monet in Baby Daddy Season 5B. After that awkward situation at the Hamptons, he said that viewers will get to see if Ben and Sam will have a future together.

Fans over at Baby Daddy‘s official Facebook page thought that Riley was acting a bit overboard. They also called her “immature” and “childish.” While many are definitely excited for the Season 5 summer premiere, some cannot help but feel annoyed at how Chelsea Kane’s character is acting. They pointed out that Riley and Danny were not together in high school, so he should be able to date whoever he pleases. Some also held that there was just too much needless drama on the show.

Baby Daddy Season 5 episode 11 will, however, not only revolve around Danny and Riley. In a separate clip, Ben was seen talking to Tucker (Tahj Mowry) about how he was turned down by Zoey.

“Can’t believe I picked Zoey, the girl I met three months ago, over Sam, the girl I’ve been obsessed with since high school. Who crawled naked into my bed. When did I become the dumpee? I used to be the dumper, the jerk. I want to be the jerk again.”

Tucker then had the ingenious idea to turn the tables around, make it seem like it was Ben who dumped Zoey. He pointed out that no one knows the complete story and he had a “very powerful card” against Zoey: he delivered her baby.
