WWE Rumors: Something Is Hatching On ‘WWE Monday Night Raw’

If the WWE knows how to do anything extremely well, it is getting people talking on social media. The most recent proof of that came with a cryptic tweet the WWE sent out that seems to refer to something “hatching” on WWE Monday Night Raw this week. That was the only hint to this new puzzle, although it has brought out hundreds of fans to wonder aloud what this could mean for tomorrow night’s episode of Raw.

The tweet, straight from the WWE main Twitter account, had a person welding next to a sign that read “Restricted Area” and the words “Extracting” and the hashtag #Hatch. They also included the date of 5/30/16, which is the date of tomorrow night’s WWE Monday Night Raw. That has caused a lot of speculation online about what is going to hatch on Raw.

The ideas range from the idea of John Cena making his already-announced return to an appearance by the Gobbledy Gooker. While the giant turkey won’t be returning to the WWE, the idea of the tweet referring to John Cena makes the most sense. There are also people who believe that this means that Bray Wyatt is also coming back on WWE Monday Night Raw tomorrow night, as well.

Bray Wyatt released a cryptic tweet this week as well, showing a scary figure of a woman walking in the woods. Wyatt’s tweet said “I make warriors of the unwanted” and “For you Abby.” He finished the tweet with the hashtag #TheReturn. Whether the two hashtags are connected or not is another question that remains to be answered. It is also not clear whether the Wyatt return is for Raw this week, or part of a longer tease for his eventual return.

It is also interesting to see Wyatt talking about making warriors. Wyatt first debuted on WWE Monday Night Raw with the Wyatt Family members Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. They showed up around the same time as The Shield, but while the three members of The Shield are now all main event talents, The Wyatt Family have toiled away, losing more feuds than they won.

The Wyatt Family split up for a short time, with Harper and Rowan feuding, but Wyatt brought them back together and added a new member in the giant Braun Strowman. While Vince McMahon had huge plans for Strowman, including a possible feud with Brock Lesnar, things soured on the big man over time.

Wyatt’s words make it sound like he may be bringing in some new family members and that could start on Raw this week. Could Bray Wyatt finally be joining forces with his little brother Bo Dallas, someone who needs a desperate change of gimmick?

WWE Monday Night Raw also sees the return of John Cena. Seth Rollins came back last week and has been touting that he is returning stronger than ever, so there is a chance that the WWE does not want to make Cena’s return to Raw any less impressive. By touting a “hatching,” they might be having Cena return in an exciting way, although with all of Cena’s returns, things usually go back to the same old situation over time.

At the moment, the John Cena WWE Monday Night Raw return is rumored to be back to place him back in the upper level of the mid-card title scene. Cena is expected to turn his sights on Rusev and the U.S. Championship, a scenario that played out last year. That actually led to one of Cena’s most popular runs as of late, as he put on some amazing matches on WWE Monday Night Raw with some of the WWE’s brightest young talents, including Neville, Cesaro, Sami Zayn, and Kevin Owens.

Of course, the entire WWE Monday Night Raw “hatch” tease could be nothing more than the WWE making changes to the set, as shown by the welder. That would be a major disappointment after all the social media buzz has picked up, but it would make sense with the upcoming brand split as they want to make Raw and SmackDown distinctive from each other.

Anything that happens on Raw this week will be better than the Gobbledy Gooker. For fans who don’t remember, or are too young, the WWE touted something big was hatching at the 1990 Survivor Series. That ended up being Hector Guerrero dressed up as a giant turkey, a huge embarrassment for the WWE.

Whatever it is that the WWE is planning on hatching this time will likely be finally discovered on Raw this Monday. WWE Monday Night Raw airs on the USA Network every Monday night at 8 p.m. EST.
