On the season premiere of the 2016 season of The Bachelorette, JoJo Fletcher was introduced to the 26 guys who were going to try to win her heart and her hand. After meeting them, though, she had to send six of them home, and now it’s already down to 20 men remaining. Episode 2 is set to air on Monday night, and it’s going to show JoJo’s first dates and just how well the men deal with trying to be hunky firefighters.
Please let it be known that there are possible spoilers ahead for the new and upcoming season of The Bachelorette starring JoJo Fletcher. If you don’t want to know them, stop reading now.
In Episode 2, things are going to start off right away with a group date after a bit of a recap from the season premiere. Reality Steve reports that the first group date of the season will involve 10 guys and they will have to battle it out in a very strenuous and tough firefighter training course.
After going through the course, it ended up being Robby Hayes, Grant Kemp, and Wells Adams who were the top three. From there, the competition continued and it was Grant who took the win overall which was rather expected as he is the real-life firefighter.
Even though Grant won the firefighter event during the group date, he wasn’t the one that landed in JoJo’s favor. At the after-party later that night, it was Wells who was awarded the group rose which made him safe for this week.

Next up for JoJo was a one-on-one date with Derek Peth and she went to pick him up in her car for a night on the town and in the sky. Together, they went to San Francisco on a private plane where they had a picnic together.
OK! Magazine caught this date when the couple was getting on plane and captured a few pictures of them looking mighty close. While not much else was said about the pics, they do show JoJo and Derek showcasing a good bit of PDA.
There’s a third date in Episode 2 of the 2016 season of The Bachelorette and it’s another group date. JoJo actually gets a group of six guys together to head to the studios of ESPN’s SportsNation with hosts Max Kellerman and Marcellus Wiley.
Obviously, Marcellus Wiley was really enjoying the time spent with JoJo, and he was trying to get in on the reality TV action. He tweeted out a few times, but deleted them before they were up for too long.

The six guys on the second group date were Nick B., Jordan, Chad, James Taylor, Alex, and Christian. All of the guys competed in three different events that included a football drill to get to JoJo with flowers, the dizzy baseball bat game, and a press conference.
When all was said and done, James Taylor ended up with the group date rose and that is very likely to not make Chad very happy yet again.
It sure seems like Episode 2 is going to be one that isn’t full of a lot of drama and will have some pretty good times for those on The Bachelorette. Still, there must always be the rose ceremony elimination, and three guys will go home this week.
- James Spandafore
- Brandon Howell
- Will Haduch
After those three are sent home, there are just 17 guys remaining.
The first few episodes of The Bachelorette are always known to be some of those that aren’t nearly as interesting as the later part of the season. While there has already been a little bit of drama, Episode 2 doesn’t bring a lot of good looks as to who is standing out and who JoJo Fletcher could do without. Three more guys are gone, though, and things will really begin to heat up next week.
