‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Claudette Set To Arrive In Port Charles, Who Is Tackling The Role?

General Hospital spoilers tease that viewers will soon be seeing Claudette in person after months of buzz regarding the mysterious character. Nathan has told Maxie some of what happened with Claudette in his past, but he is still hiding some pieces of their story. In addition, it has become clear that Griffin has some connection to the situation, and until Nathan was injured recently, Maxie had been intent on figuring out the full truth.

There have been plenty of rumors swirling about Griffin and his connection to Claudette, some of them being pretty wild. It has been clear for some time now that there was more regarding Claudette yet to be revealed, but until now, there had been nothing concrete revealed about General Hospital actually casting someone in the role. Now, however, that has apparently changed.

According to Daytime Confidential, General Hospital is finally ready to reveal their Claudette. The show has reportedly tapped soap veteran Bree Williamson to tackle the role. Many know Bree from her time as Jessica on One Life to Live, a character she played from 2003 to 2012. Since OLTL ended, Williamson has also tackled roles on Haven, Deception, Chicago Fire, Castle, and TripTank.

As Soap Central notes, Williamson received three Outstanding Supporting Actress Daytime Emmy nominations during her run on One Life to Live. Neither ABC nor General Hospital have confirmed the casting news yet, but it would appear that Bree herself has essentially confirmed the scoop.

Bree posted a tweet joking about the news as it broke, adding a hashtag about being excited. Soon after that, Williamson posted a photo on Instagram showing how her name was trending on Facebook alongside a massive power outage in New York and reality television star Khloe Kardashian.

Until now, there have been minimal General Hospital spoilers regarding where the show was headed with this Claudette situation. For a while, after it became clear that Griffin had a connection to Claudette, some fans even speculated that Griffin might have actually been Claudette and had a sex change, even though that scenario seemed pretty far-fetched. A somewhat more common theory has been that Griffin is the man who was cheating with Claudette, whom Nathan shot when he walked in on them.

It is not yet known for certain when Williamson will first pop up as Claudette, but Celeb Dirty Laundry shares that it may be happening within the next couple of weeks. According to the General Hospital spoilers from Soap Central, Nathan will finally decide to come clean to Maxie next week. Will Maxie still head out to track down Claudette on her own, or will Nathan’s ex-wife show up in Port Charles of her own accord?

It is not known what the full truth about Claudette is or what will spark her arrival in the mix of things. However, casting a heavy-hitter like Bree Williamson certainly hints at big plans for how the character can shake things up for Griffin, Nathan, and Maxie in Port Charles.

The buzz about Bree’s casting comes in the midst of other big news regarding the General Hospital cast. Tyler Christopher is set to be replaced, supposedly temporarily, in the role of Nikolas Cassadine. In addition, Daytime Confidential is reporting that Kirsten Storms may be stepping out of the role of Maxie for a brief time as well. If that one proves to be correct, it will certainly complicate this upcoming storyline involving Claudette.

Will Maxie and Nathan split up over his clearly unresolved issues for his ex? There have been plenty of hints that Maxie and Griffin may become a thing, and bringing Claudette to Port Charles could certainly be the catalyst for that to happen. Stay tuned for more information as things regarding Bree Williamson’s casting as Claudette becomes official on General Hospital. Where do you think things will head next with this situation?
