Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” has been controversial, as some say this is about his ex, Selena Gomez. Since the two have a globally scandalous on-and-off love affair, many still think that this is his message to the former Disney star regarding their broken relationship.
Though Justin Bieber took the time to explain what the meaning is behind “Sorry,” some presumed it was his general apology to the world for being an jerk.
In his interview with GQ, Bieber clarified that the song was not necessarily about forgiveness, but more about the acknowledgement of ones mistakes.
“Everyone when they start growing up realizes, ‘Man, I did some dumb s**t when I was younger. It’s not just me… If I could go back I wouldn’t really change much. I think it’s all my journey. That stuff made me who I am.”
At the same time, Justin Bieber added that the song was not his apology to the world, but for “a girl.” Bieber did not disclose who specifically he was pertaining to, but at the time, he was dating Hailey Baldwin.
Still, with the lyrics that say, “Is it too late now to say sorry? ‘Cause I’m missing more than just your body,” one cannot help but wonder if this song had a deeper meaning or not.
To plainly respond to Justin Bieber’s song, YouTube star Chloe Adams recreated the lyrics of the song to match the most perfect response to this guy who was seeking his nth second shot at this girl.
Chloe Adams perfectly summed up a witty response with her own lyrics that read:
WHEN THE HELL DID I GET ANGRY
AT ALL OF YOUR HONESTY?
IN FACT I DON’T THINK YOU SAID ONE WORD
THATS TRUE TO ME, HONESTLY
CUS I SAW YOU TEXTING THAT OTHER GIRL
WHEN YOU WERE NEXT TO ME
AND NOW YOU WANT ANOTHER SHOT
I STUPIDLY LET YOU BACK INTO MY HEART
MAYBE ONCE, OR TWICE
AND BY ONCE OR TWICE
I MEAN MAYBE A COUPLE OF HUNDRED TIMES
SO DONT GO REDEEMING
CUS THERES NO REDEEMING YOURSELF TONIGHT
CUS YOU’VE LONG BEEN RUNNING OUT
OF SECOND CHANCES
