‘Days Of Our Lives’: Deimos Being Played By Both Kate And Nicole? Why Kate Proposed Marriage [Spoilers]

Days Of Our Lives fans saw a stunning marriage proposal earlier this week. Kate Roberts proposed marriage to Deimos Kiriakis, something that not only shocked viewers but Deimos as well. Kate is no stranger to marriage, something Deimos brought up. However, as fans may have guessed, love may have nothing to do with Kate’s suggestion to elope. Does she have an ulterior motive? Is Deimos being played by both Kate Roberts and Nicole Walker?

Kate and Deimos actually make a good couple on Days Of Our Lives. Both are ambitious, determined, and will do what is necessary to get what they want. According to Soap Opera Digest, actress Lauren Koslow says Kate sees Deimos as a partner. However, what kind of partner is she talking about?

Most people marry for love, and the two have not been together long enough to feel that way about each other. There must be another reason for Kate’s suggestion that they elope. Well, it turns out there might be. Koslow explained that Deimos could be a way for Kate to get back some of the Kiriakis power. However, that isn’t all.

“I think that Kate still has a desire for revenge against Victor because of his role in helping Stefano unseat her at DiMera Enterprises,” Lauren Koslow told Soap Opera Digest, published in the May 18 issue of the magazine. “So, in a way, this is all about Victor. For Kate, Deimos is more of a tool.”

When Deimos Kiriakis was introduced on Days Of Our Lives, he sure had an interesting story. He was Victor’s estranged brother and someone who spent decades in prison for murdering Victor’s fiancee. However, recent flashbacks tease that Deimos really was innocent and that it was Victor who accidentally killed the young woman. With a complex storyline like this, there is no way Deimos and Victor are going to bury the hatchet. Instead, the two are at war and so far, Deimos is winning.

Kate Roberts knew some of the issues between Deimos and Victor. Knowing how much Victor hated his brother, Kate went ahead and began a relationship with Deimos. When she proposed marriage earlier this week, Kate was stunned when Deimos accepted. However, Kate will be shocked once again when he wants a prenuptial agreement. That might put a damper on her plans to get the Kiriakis power and money.

The other issue concerning Kate and Deimos is a young lady named Nicole Walker. Victor asked Nicole to participate in a plan to bring Deimos down. However, she is falling for the Salem newcomer. Deimos also has a hard time controlling himself around Nicole. This is because she looks nearly identical to Victor’s dead fiancee, the one Deimos was having an affair with years ago.

Since his introduction on the NBC soap opera, Deimos has proven he isn’t someone to be messed with. He seems to always be one step ahead. Although he has a soft spot for Nicole, he also doesn’t seem to trust her completely. As for Kate, he doesn’t divulge a lot of information to her, meaning he may not completely trust her either. Does he know that both women are playing him, or will he be taken by surprise?

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, expect things with Kate, Deimos, and Nicole to get a lot more complicated. Hollywood Hills wrote that on Friday’s episode of Days Of Our Lives, things heat up even more between Deimos and Nicole. How will Kate react when she finds out about their passionate kiss? Fans will have to wait to find out, but chances are Kate will keep it cool while planning her sweet revenge against Deimos and Nicole.
