‘WWE Thursday Night SmackDown’ Spoiler-Free Preview — Match Added to ‘Extreme Rules’ [News]

Just days before Shane McMahon and the “New Era” of WWE Superstars invade WWE Extreme Rules 2016, the final episode of WWE SmackDown will air on the USA Network. Unimpressed by the insurgence of new talent is current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns, who is scheduled to defend his title against “The Phenomenal One” A.J. Styles on Sunday in an Extreme Rules Match. On Thursday Night SmackDown, things heated up between Styles and Reigns during the main event.

And while WWE Thursday Night SmackDown may have centered around the growing feud between The Family and The Club (or as the WWE Universe continues to chant, “The Bullet Club”), plenty of attention was also given to the WWE Intercontinental Championship Match at Extreme Rules, the feud between The Lunatic Fringe and Y2J, and Dana Brooke’s consistent pestering of Emma.

This week’s SmackDown delivered exactly what was needed for a go-home show leading in to Extreme Rules. SmackDown spoilers are currently available for tonight’s show, but a spoiler-free preview follows. Following the spoiler-free match list for this week’s SmackDown is an updated card for Sunday’s Extreme Rules 2016.
