WWE Spoilers: Huge New Match Announced For ‘Extreme Rules’ As The Club Looks To Get Even

Extreme Rules is less than a week away, and WWE has added a few new matches to the card to make it complete. During the SmackDown taping on Tuesday night, a brand new match with a pretty awesome stipulation was added, and fans will enjoy it. The Club (Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows) will set out to dish out some old-school justice on a team they have focused on since arriving in WWE.

Please note that there are SPOILERS ahead for this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown. If you don’t want to know what happens ahead of time, then stop reading now.

During the SmackDown taping this evening, the new match was announced, and it’s a rather interesting one. According to Daily Wrestling News, it was announced that Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows will be taking on The Usos in a Texas Tornado match at Extreme Rules.

On Monday Night Raw, The Usos faced off with The Club and pulled out a pretty impressive win over the new team in WWE. It was rather shocking and a lot of fans were taken aback that Anderson and Gallows lost cleanly.

Now, they’ll look to get that win back at Extreme Rules.

The Texas Tornado goes back in time a long way in the history of wrestling. It was created by the famous Von Erich family and huge in Texas, obviously, for so many years. It has not been used often in the past decade or so, but it’s one that fans love because it is quite chaotic.

The rules of the match are simple as all members of all teams are allowed in the ring at one time. That means Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Jey Uso, and Jimmy Uso will be able to legally be in the ring at the same time as tagging in-and-out won’t be necessary.

Sometimes, the stipulation of each member of a team needing to be pinned in order for victory to be achieved can be added to the match. It’s not yet known if that will be the case for The Club vs. The Usos. WrestleZone has also revealed that it will be a Texas Tornado match, but there is nothing further known about it.

The Club (Anderson and Gallows) haven’t yet officially won a match since arriving in WWE, but there is a pretty good chance they will get one at Extreme Rules.

As of now, it seems that WWE is heading toward AJ Styles losing against Roman Reigns or at least not winning the WWE Title in the main event. Should Anderson and Gallows win, then Styles losing wouldn’t have The Club looking completely worthless.

Having the gimmick of a Texas Tornado match will allow Anderson and Gallows to be dominant and do what they do best – beat people up.

Currently, the final card for Extreme Rules is as follows:

  • WWE World Heavyweight Title: Roman Reigns (c) vs. AJ Styles – Extreme Rules
  • WWE Women’s Title: Charlotte (c) vs. Natalya – Submission Match
  • United States Title: Kalisto (c) vs. Rusev
  • WWE Tag Team Titles: The New Day (c) vs. The Vaudevillains
  • Intercontinental Title: The Miz (c) vs. Cesaro vs. Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens
  • Asylum Match: Chris Jericho vs. Dean Ambrose
  • Texas Tornado Match: The Club vs. The Usos
  • Kickoff Show – NO DQ Match: Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin

The Texas Tornado match has not been officially announced by WWE as of yet, but it will be confirmed on Thursday night when SmackDown airs.

Extreme Rules now has eight matches on the card with one of them on the Kickoff Show, but it’s looking like a pretty good event. Maybe WWE has listened to all the fans and critics that have said they are booking The Club completely wrong and decided to give them the Texas Tornado match to get back their momentum. With the ability to work together at all times and just destroy The Usos, the pay-per-view is shaping up nicely for The Club.
