Actress and Gossip Girl star Blake Lively is one of the most beautiful women working in Hollywood today, but what you see now is all you’re ever going to get. In contrast to other young film stars , Lively has stated that she’ll never ever go nude for a film, mostly because it’s distracting.
“When I see nudity in movies, I am always distracted by it. I know that if I am watching a scene and someone has their boobs out, then that’s all I’m looking at – I can’t help it. I just don’t think that will ever be right for me,” Lively said.
Though many stars find they have to compromise on that front to achieve rarefied degrees of success or highly sought-after opportunities to work with “artistic” directors, Lively actually has work thrown her way and is one of the most highly sought actresses working today, reports the International Business Times . She made a seamless and successful transition to the big screen in 2008 after earning success and becoming a media sensation from her role in Gossip Girl , reports MSN .
As for her svelte and sexy figure? Get ready to feel jealous: Lively says she doesn’t do anything (read: nothing ) to maintain her stunning body.
“I am terrible; I don’t do any exercise – I’m going to have to learn the hard way. I love food too much, and my family is from the South, so the food I like is not necessarily the best for you,” she said in an interview. “There are days when I will be like, ‘Oh my goodness, I am not happy with the way I look because I cannot fit into any of my clothes’. So I eat quinoa that week, and then I feel good,” she continued.
Despite her wide-range of roles (including a seedy turn in Ben Affleck triumph The Town ) Lively is mostly media shy and manages the avoid the celebrity pitfall suffered by so many other actors and actresses her age and younger. Instead of focusing on fame, Lively focuses on family to keep her grounded.
“The same people who love you to death one day will hate you to death the next, so who do you give the keys to your self-worth to?” she said. “You have to have those keys for yourself. And you have to surround yourself with people who are honest with you. I need honesty.”
