‘Teen Mom 2′ Leah Messer Refuses To Allow Corey Simms To Be Twins’ Primary Custodian? ‘I Do Everything’

Did Leah Messer’s ex-husband, Corey Simms, change his mind about sharing custody of his twin daughters, Ali and Aleeah, with the Teen Mom 2 star?

In a preview clip from next week’s episode of Teen Mom 2 Season 7, Leah Messer is seen revealing that her previously agreed upon deal to share custody of their girls with Simms may not be as permanent as she had thought.

“Corey filed these papers. He turned around and filed an injunction to be the primary custodian,” Leah Messer tells her sister, Victoria, in a sneak peek shared by Starcasm on May 4. “I spoke to him after the hearing, and everything went great! You know, we were actually kind of communicating, and thought that we were going to be able to co-parent the way we used to.”

As Us Weekly revealed earlier this week, Leah Messer was seen winning 50/50 custody of her twins on Monday night after a court appearance last year resulted in Simms being named as the girls’ primary custodian. At the time of their October 2015 hearing, Leah Messer was believed to have been negligent with their children and unable to get them to school on time. However, on Monday night, Simms claimed Messer had been doing better and noted that if she went downhill again he would re-start the process for custody.

“Today I get his objection that West Virginia law does not recognize joint custodian. Who cares? Why are you making a big deal out of nothing?” Leah Messer continues to her sister. “I know plenty of parents that’s done joint custodian. You know, to be civil… I mean, if you’re both good parents, then there should be nothing wrong. And then he says that he should be the primary custodian because they live — or, they go to school in his district and whatever else.”

Leah Messer felt that her and Simms were on a much better page after court, but in the sneak peek, she clearly feels betrayed and concerned for the future.

“I do everything, so maybe I should be the primary custodian,” she tells her sister.

Leah Messer went on to tell Victoria that Simms simply wants to be in control of the situation. She even mentions what “he’s done to my kids.”

“It’s a control thing. Now it’s a control thing,” Leah Messer claims. “He jumps into this family lifestyle and feels like he’s the better parent. He’s the more stable parent. He needs them.”

At the end of their conversation, Leah Messer informs Victoria that she will be going back to court.

“That’s all I can do, but I really hope it comes to an end for my girls,” Leah Messer explains. “To do what he’s done to my kids, I — I — I don’t — I don’t care if he takes another breath! And I don’t know what else to do. All I can do is fight against it. That’s all I can do.”

During Teen Mom 2 Season 6, Simms expressed concern over Leah Messer’s possible drug use and Messer’s second ex-husband, Jeremy Calvert, also accused her of having a “prescription pill problem,” which Leah Messer denied.

Although Leah Messer did enter rehab in May of last year, she claimed it was to address anxiety and depression — not drugs.
