Louis Tomlinson and Briana Jungwirth might have dated only for a short time, but according to the stylist's cousin and closest confidante Ashley Jessica, the two tried getting back together, but things didn't go as planned. While Briana visited Louis in England during her pregnancy, this wasn't enough to save what they had, Ashley told Now magazine in a tell-all interview.
"I thought it was going to be a perfect world and in the perfect situation they'd have ended up together. They both thought about it and tried but it's not the way it ended up being."Ashley, who used to date Louis' bestfriend Oli, said they were shocked when they found out that the British crooner already started dating The Originals actress Danielle Campbell. Louis and Danielle's romance blossomed late last year before Briana had given birth.
The Jungwirth family was admittedly hurt as it was "bad timing," although they understand that "feelings are feelings and you can't help that." She also recalled running into Danielle when Louis' family was staying in a hotel where Ashley worked.
Ashley and Briana met Louis and his friends in January 2015, two months before he parted ways with Eleanor Calder, his girlfriend of nearly four years.
Ashley believes that the abuse they're receiving from enraged One Direction fans had taken its toll. They've been deemed "liars, racists, fame hungry, and accused of faking it all." Photographers were camping outside their houses to get leads. She grew up with Briana and attested that she's a girl who never wanted to be in the limelight.
"I've known Briana all my life and she's never wanted fame. She doesn't even like taking photos. If you notice in all of them she's always looking down – she keeps herself to herself. She just wants people to see she's not this hateful and negative person. She wants people to see she's not the person she's portrayed to be."Apart from Directioners who are still not over the Larry Stylinson conspiracy theory, the Jungwirth family is painted in a bad light because they are allegedly embroiled in a bitter custody battle with Louis. As per Ashley, it isn't true that Briana's demanding a staggering amount of monthly support.
When asked by the publication what was the worst accusation thrown their way, Ashley said it's about them being racist. She also urged Directioners to grow up and get over their hate.
"That we're racist! That's the furthest thing from the truth. There was a theory that Freddie was a doll too – which definitely isn't possible as I saw him come out of Briana. To these people we're just fictional characters. Louis' fans are all very young, very immature and haven't grown up and seen the world. They need to learn that we're all human beings and we all make mistakes and have regrets."To manage the hate they're constantly getting, One Direction's management gave the family classes. They were not asked to sign confidentiality contracts. Louis would also tell them to just live their life and never allow the press to get in the way of anything.
It appears that Louis and Briana are taking co-parenting in stride. As opposed to previous reports that Briana's mother kicked the "No Control" singer out of the delivery room, Ashley said he was there the whole time holding Briana's hand as she went on labor.
The new parents are definitely determined to give their all for Freddie Reign who "looks exactly like Louis."
