Ted Cruz Shows Zero Signs Of Giving Up, Or Caring That Everyone Hates Him

This morning, when Ted Cruz was interviewed by host Chuck Todd on NBC’s Meet The Press(MTP), he started off by saying that the media had heart-palpitations at Donald Trump’s winnings in New York and adjoining states in the Northeast.

New York was widely reported as a major loss for Texas senator Ted Cruz after his comments about New Yorkers and their liberal views, which he has made clear that he is strongly against.

Later, he adjusted the statement as an apology of sorts.

As of this writing, it’s being reported that the senator has won a majority of delegate slots for Virginia and Wyoming, and while he admits to how important it is that he win Indiana, according to some sources such as CBS News, Trump is way ahead of Ted Cruz for that state.

Appropriately, however, Ted Cruz does not want to show that the truth will “set him free” from the race, as in “jumping ship.”

The interview on MTP makes that very clear, as he uses the dark arts of distraction to prevent admitting his defeat.

As one can see from the interview, it did not matter what Chuck Todd said. He dodged the questions as patiently and confidently as he could, but the host kept pushing until even he knew when to quit.

But, that’s exactly it. Ted Cruz does not live in reality like the rest of us.

Last week’s news of Cruz announcing former Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina as his running mate is said to be odd for a variety of reasons, one of them being that it’s unconventional to announce a running mate before the RNC convention.

The other reason the move seems strange is because of his candidate choice, which strategists who have been in the political game for a while have said has no strategy behind it.

And, it isn’t as if Ted Cruz has a card up his sleeve, or knows something the rest of us do not. He’s clearly set to do things his way and not take responsibility for whether it works or fails. He’s not one to let the public see that he’s in a sinking ship, as it’s sinking.

This has been the way Ted Cruz does things, and since he’s never to blame for the sinking of this metaphorical ship, he points to the media as the obstacles that have created great difficulty for him.

The media has been a constant target for Cruz. Once a target of the far left, Ted Cruz has turned it into his view and the Washington politicians are now the cartel.

And while there’s plenty about Washington to be angry about, he’s made himself the only “true” conservative who can take on the “establishment.”

Ted Cruz would not even say NBC by name when he and Todd began to talk over each other with Chuck, frustratingly defending the media as they talked about Donald Trump, who made headlines last year for lashing out at the network for cancelling his reality show The Apprentice, but also for having the billionaire business mogul on MTP practically every weekend over the past several months.

The self-proclaimed conservative has taken the bad and suspiciously turned it all into better-than-average results. When he’s pushed up against hard facts, he dodges and blames the media; when he’s getting slammed by Boehner as “Lucifer in the flesh” it’s because the cartel, or the Washington establishment, is either afraid of him or it’s more of the same, but it’s never him.

Ted Cruz has been compared to many other things and it’s certain that many people simply don’t like him. And it isn’t because they’re the Washington establishment, or the cartels, it’s because there’s an overwhelmingly amount about this guy to not like.

So much, in fact, that it’s nearly impossible to find anything to like, or it simply takes too much energy to even bother.
