Kanye West Parodies His Taylor Swift MTV Moment At Friend’s Wedding

Kanye West is still milking that infamous moment when he snatched Taylor Swift’s MTV Music Award in 2009.

His latest stunt? Reenacting the unforgettable moment at a friend’s wedding. At the nuptials of David Grutman and Isabela Rangel, Kanye interrupted fellow guest and du Jour Magazine founder Jason Binn and grabbed the mic to give his two cents, E! Online reports.

“I’mma let you finish,” he said, causing the other wedding guests to burst out laughing. “Dave and Isabela had one of the best weddings of all time.”

At the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, Kanye West told Taylor, “Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you and I’mma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time!”

He was referring to Beyonce’s hit song “Single Ladies.” When the cameras cut to Beyonce she looked mortified.

As the Daily Mail reminds us, when Beyonce won the MTV Music Award for Video of the Year, she allowed Taylor Swift to have her moment and give the acceptance speech that Kanye interrupted.

Kanye West and his wife, Kim Kardashian West, were present at the wedding. Kim’s sister Kourtney Kardashian was also there. As Us Weekly reports, Kim posted several NSFW photos from her time at the wedding. They were mostly of her cleavage, her friend’s legs, and her sister’s butt. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West even shared a little raunchy PDA with her Instagram followers.

Ryan Seacrest, Michael Bay, Hulk Hogan, Mel B, Wilmer Valderrama were also at the wedding, the Daily Mail reports.

Kanye has been referencing the 2009 MTV Taylor Swift incident more often these days. This year, he mentioned it in a song on his most recent album. On the song, “Famous,” there’s a line that’s presumably about Taylor Swift.

“I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / I made that b***h famous,” Kanye rapped on the song.

The lyric drew a lot of anger from Taylor Swift fans, with many claiming that Kanye was being extremely misogynistic. As Rolling Stone reported at the time, Kanye claimed that Taylor Swift approved of the lyric and heard the song before it was released.

“I did not diss Taylor Swift and I’ve never dissed her,” West tweeted.

This was the first in a series of 15 tweets that West sent out in a matter of minutes.

“First thing is I’m an artist and as an artist I will express how I feel with no censorship. 2nd thing I asked my wife for her blessings and she was cool with it.”

In the third tweet, West mentioned that Taylor had heard the song before The Life of Pablo came out.

“3rd thing I called Taylor and had a hour-long convo with her about the line and she thought it was funny and gave her blessings,” West tweeted.

He then blamed the media for blowing the whole story out of proportion.

“6th Stop trying to demonize real artist Stop trying to compromise art,” West wrote. “That’s why music is so f*cking watered down right now. I miss that DMX feeling. 7th I miss that feeling so that’s what I want to help restore.”

Despite all the drama surrounding their lives, Kanye West has admitted that he wants to have more children with his wife Kim Kardashian, People Magazine reports.

Kardashian made the announcement on her sister’s talk show Kocktails with Khloe, People Magazine reports.

“Kanye has been mentioning it every single day lately for the past 10 days,” Kardashian West said.

But Kim Kardashian said she might not be completely on board since she’s had two difficult pregnancies in the past.
