But Donald Trump has been aggressive against Ted Cruz in New York, reminding voters often that the Texas Senator criticized Trump for having “New York values.”
“We’re going to show Ted Cruz, who hates New York,” Trump told a crowd in Buffalo (via the Wall Street Journal), reminding them that Cruz also voted against federal aid after superstorm Sandy. “No New Yorker can vote for Ted Cruz.”

Trump isn’t getting much of a fight from his opponents, either. Both Cruz and Kasich had a lighter slate of appearances in New York, with Cruz focusing on areas upstate with larger pockets of Evangelical voters, one of his biggest strengths. Kasich doesn’t even plan to be in the Empire State on Tuesday night, signaling his lack of confidence in a win.
