Derek Hough Does Disneyland With Pro Dancer Hayley Erbert: Is This A New ‘DWTS’ Couple?

Derek Hough has been missing from the current season of Dancing With the Stars, but he’s still very much a part of the DWTS team and he definitely keeps in touch with his longtime fellow cast members. But he seems to be sending an awful lot of time with one DWTS troupe member in particular.

Hough was recently spotted at Disneyland with 21-year-old dancer Hayley Erbert, and it looked like more than just two friends spending a day together at the iconic theme park. According to Entertainment Tonight Online, Derek and Hayley seemed very cozy as they were photographed walking together through the park. Hough and Erbert were seen going on some rides and eating snacks, and they were spotted holding hands as they made their way through the famous California theme park.

The Daily Mail shared a series of pics and Snapchat shots from the DWTS dream date, including a pic of Derek grabbing Hayley to do some impromptu dance moves while they waited in a long ride line. Another photo shows the too-cute couple driving in a light blue mini car. Hough even posted an action shot on a roller coaster.

Dance fans may recognize Hayley Erbert from the Fox dancing competition So You Think You Can Dance, where she was a contestant on Season 10 of the show. Erbert first became a DWTS troupe member last season, when Hough competed for (and won) the Mirrorball trophy with partner Bindi Irwin. With any luck, fans will have the chance to see more of Hayley this season, especially if Dancing With the Stars has a Trio Night, which always includes either eliminated pro dancers or members of the troupe joining in with each celeb couple.

Derek has definitely been spending quality time with Hayley in recent months. In February, the couple posed together at the Weinstein Company’s pre-Oscar dinner, which was the same night that Hough was announced as a star of a Singin’ In the Rain on Broadway.

Derek and Hayley also danced together on Derek and Julianne Hough’s traveling Move Live On Tour last summer, sharing an especially beautiful dance to Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud.” (You can see video of that dance below.)

But is Derek’s relationship with Hayley the real deal, or are they just cozy friends? Longtime Derek Hough followers know he has dated many beautiful women, but Hough definitely has a thing for gorgeous brunettes, so Erbert fits the bill. In the past, Derek has been linked with his DWTS Season 6 partner Shannon Elizabeth, as well as brunette beauties Cheryl Cole, Nina Dobrev, and Nikki Reed. While many of his relationships seem to end fast, Hough is now 30-years-old and may be ready for a more serious relationship.

If Derek is actually dating Hayley, it wouldn’t be the first time two dancers from Dancing With the Stars have hooked up. In fact, in addition to many pro dancer-celeb partner hookups, the show has produced several pro dancer couples, including Maks Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff, who were once engaged. That union didn’t last, but Maks went on to became engaged to fellow DWTS champ, Peta Murgatroyd. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba, also a former dancer, was even in a serious relationship with DWTS pro Artem Chigvintsev.
