‘Outlander’ Season 2 Spoilers: Claire & Jamie Separated For Good?

Outlander Season 2 is hours away from premiering and fans are losing their minds online waiting for the first episode of the wildly popular Starz drama.

In Season 2 of Outlander, viewers can expect a huge change and a very different feel from the previous season, as Claire and Jamie Fraser take on a whole new cause to fight against, and even find themselves in the most heartbreaking of situations.

According to a report by Hollywood Life, Outlander Season 2 is a huge win for the series, proving that the show is one of the best on television. The first episode of the new season is said to pick up pretty much where Season 1 left off, and that’s with Claire and Jamie heading to France to escape Scotland and the bad memories they’ve created there. The couple has an idea that if they can stop the Jacobite rebellion, they can save Scotland and the Highlanders, but it won’t be easy.

In the Season 1 finale, fans learned that Claire is pregnant with Jamie’s baby, and even though Jamie is struggling greatly with the impact of his rape and torture at the hands of Black Jack Randall, he’s still madly in love with Claire and excited about becoming a father. The report suggests that while he and Claire will have their ups and downs, the passion is still very much alive in their marriage.

Meanwhile, Claire will shockingly be transported back to her own time in the 1940’s and see her husband, Frank, for the first time in nearly two years. Frank will be thrilled to see Claire, but she’ll have a secret to reveal, and that is she’s pregnant with Jamie’s baby.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, it will be devastating for Claire to be separated from Jamie, as she’s already chosen him as her husband over Frank once before in the past. Will she try to return in the 18th century, or will Outlander fans be forced to watch Claire live out her life without her true love, Jamie?

Claire’s strength will prevail as she adapts to the idea of living in a world without Jamie Fraser, and with a man who looks exactly like Black Jack Randall, the British soldier who has caused her so much pain. So, how much of Outlander Season 2 will be set in the 1700’s and how much in the 1940’s? It looks like a lot of time jumping may be in store for viewers, who will get a big dose of both of Claire’s husbands through the sophomore season.

In addition to Claire, Jamie, and Frank’s stories, Outlander fans will also get to see new characters, such as Claire and Jamie’s daughter, Brianna. Actress Sophie Skelton has already been cast for the part, and since Sophie is of adult age, it looks like plenty of flashes into the future are going to be seen by viewers. Will Brianna ever know who her real father is, or will Claire leave her daughter to believe that Frank is her biological father?

One other thing Outlander fans can look forward to in Season 2 is the costumes. Since Claire and Jamie will be in 18th century France, one of the most documented time periods in fashion, it is likely that there will be some amazing and beautiful dresses for Claire to wear throughout the episodes as she and Jamie try to adapt to a life among the French and away from the Scots, where they’ve had nothing but hard times and painful memories.
