“It’s an honor to be hosting the MTV Movie Awards with a guy who’s not only one of the funniest guys on the planet, but who’s often mistaken as my twin, Kevin Hart,” Johnson previously joked in a statement. “We live for our fans and promise to make this an epic, historic unforgettable night for them.”

Hart also revealed that he and Dwayne will be putting on a huge show, revealing in a statement that he feels he and the wrestler-turned-actor are “the perfect team” for the big MTV Movie Awards event. “Dwayne and I are the perfect team for the epic 25th anniversary show,” Kevin said. “It’s going to go down.”

Who’s performing?
MTV revealed last month that Ariana Grande and Halsey will both be performing at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards.

The network teased that Ariana will be performing at the big awards show for the first time and will be taking on her new single “Dangerous Woman” when she hits the stage.

Ariana Grande spoke out about the big performance in a recent interview with MTV, where she teased that she’ll be performing “a different rendition” of the song at the movie awards on April 10.

Ariana teased that Broadway composer Jason Robert Brown will be a part of her MTV Movie Awards performance. “This is a really special thing for me,” Ariana recently said of the collaboration. “It’s exciting to change it up… and now it’s adding an exciting flavor to it,” Grande teased.

As for Halsey, her MTV Movie Awards performance will see her make the live debut of the track “Castle,” which is featured in the movie The Huntsman: Winter’s War.

“This will be the first time I perform ‘Castle,'” Halsey previously told MTV of her awards show outing last month. “This song is so important to me as a woman; it’s about not letting anything get in your way. I’m so happy MTV & The Huntsman are giving me the opportunity to present that message on television. Plus it’ll look sick.”

Who will win?
While the main award winners will be revealed on the night, MTV previously announced that Will Smith, who is also presenting an award at the MTV Movie Awards, will be the recipient of the prestigious MTV Generation Award.

Who is also winning an award prior to the ceremony? Melissa McCarthy. McCarthy was previously announced as a winner at the MTV Movie Awards after being awarded the Comedic Genius Award, making her the first woman to earn the achievement.
