Iggy Azalea Admits Her Plastic Surgery Wasn’t ‘Worth The Backlash’ [Video]
Iggy Azalea got pretty candid about her numerous plastic surgeries during a recent appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she revealed which of her cosmetic procedures may not have been “worth the backlash” she received on social media.
Azalea didn’t hold back when speaking about her various nips and tucks with the comedian-turned-daytime talk show host this week as she opened up about her breast augmentation and nose job, and spoke out about why she felt the need to go under the knife.
Azalea candidly admitted that she didn’t feel that she needed to have anything on her body altered, telling Ellen “there was nothing wrong with me” before later admitting that one particular procedure may not have actually been worth the social media backlash.
DeGeneres then asked the rapper, “What bothered you? What did you change?” to which Iggy revealed that she got a breast augmentation and a nose job, which DeGeneres joked was a “big waste of money” after Azalea admitted that her new nose doesn’t actually look that much different to her previous nose.“It’s pretty similar,” Iggy told the daytime talk show host, hinting that she may even regret going under the knife on her face as the drama that surrounded her procedure may not have been worth it. “Yeah, I don’t know if it was worth the backlash,” Iggy said, before joking that she “should have changed it more so it was worth it.”
Iggy also revealed on the show that she recently “got boobs” because she “didn’t have boobs” prior to surgery.
“I just had nipples, and now I have breasts,” Azalea continued of her surgeries on the show, joking, “I thought I could use some, it would be a good addition.”
“I think it’s a personal choice and anybody, man or woman, they should be able to make an informed decision, and if you wanna change something, then that’s up to you,” Iggy Azalea continued.
Iggy previously spoke out about her plastic surgeries in an interview with Elle Canada in January and confessed that she believes people should be more “accepting” of, and open about, cosmetic surgeries.
“In 2016, people should be more accepting of the fact that both famous and non-famous women are having cosmetic procedures,” Iggy recently said. “That’s just the reality. And I think more people need to admit that s**t so it doesn’t have to be so taboo — because we’re all doing it anyway.”
In the same interview, Azalea first confirmed her nose job and breast augmentation and again revealed the reasoning behind her decision to go under the knife and questioned how long the media would focus on her decision to undergo cosmetic surgeries.
“I wanted to change my nose because I didn’t grow up with a bump on it — that happened when I got smashed in the face with a soccer ball when I was 16. Now I feel like my nose looks the way it’s supposed to look,” Azalea told the magazine, before questioning the intense media scrutiny that has surrounded her surgeries for the past few months.
“All of those women,” Azalea continued, “if they had $10 million in their account tomorrow, I’d dare them not to change one thing about themselves or at least think about it… But for how long do we have to acknowledge that I got a nose job? For the rest of my life? Am I going to be 45 and people are still saying ‘Nice nose job’?”
