Drake’s ‘Views From The 6’ Release Latest Reports — True Or Fake?

Drake’s Views from the 6 release is waiting in the winds. There have been many reports about when Views is supposed to drop. But which Drake reports are true?

Drake has been keeping Views from the 6 in the public’s eye for a while. According to Hot New Hip Hop, Drake’s Views album has been getting major promotion and advertisements since January.

From billboards and subway posters, to social media takeovers — as well as audio leaks accompanied by hashtags tracing back to Views from the 6 — Drake’s album has been all the buzz since 2014. That’s when talks of the new studio album came to the forefront. Since then, there have been alleged leaks with Tinashe, Beyoncé, and a list of others. However, do you think those leaks have been replaced with new tracks?

When will Drake actually release Views to the public? A report was published days ago regarding the “Pop Style” artist’s “cover art” for the new album. It was spotted in London. However, this rumor was as fake as a pair of Jordan’s found “on sale” in Walmart.

Pitchfork reports that Drake’s London “cover art” wasn’t that of Views from the 6. Rather, it was just publicity to keep the album’s idea and anticipation fresh within everyone’s minds. As the source mentioned, if anything, it more resembled the artwork of “Summer Sixteen” than the potentials that have been seen regarding Views.

Regarded as the true Views release date, Pitchfork states that Drake’s album will come at the end of April. For this reason, it still keeps in accordance to OVO’s announcement that it would drop this month. Yet, it also gives Drake enough time to let the public squirm as he applies the finishing touches on the album.

The Inquisitr previously reported that Drake mentioned Views from the 6 as an album he wanted everyone to feel and enjoy to the fullest. So, it’s only logical that Drake would prolong time as much as possible to ensure everything is “100” for the release. For the length of time he’s been keeping the public awaiting this album, it would be far worse for Drake to put out music that doesn’t — at the very least — match up to IYRTITL and WATTBA.

As for the false release reports, Pitchfork noted that Fader magazine made one of the Drake errors in a recent article. Since the magazine is highly reputable, everyone took the rumored news and ran with it — spreading it faster than an Ebola scare.

However, upon further review, Fader decided to update the Drake article by saying it was “100% not the album artwork.”

As aforementioned, Drake began prepping the public for his studio release two years ago. Even in “0 to 100,” Drake mentioned that he was dropping a new album. According to Billboard, the source was the first to reveal Drake’s Views title in July 2014.

Since then, Drake has postponed Views three times, due to side projects, as follows:

  1. If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late (mixtape)
  2. Meek Mill (beef)
  3. What a Time to Be Alive (mixtape)

Likewise, Drake has possibly made revisions to the album many times due to leaks and other issues. At one point, Drake’s Views track list was believed to have been floating around the internet and setting social media into a frenzy. However, later, that was disproved as only a rumor as well.

So, all in all, the public really doesn’t know what to expect from Drake’s Views from the 6 album. All everyone can do is wait patiently — or impatiently. Either way, the public probably won’t see Views until the end of the month — unless Drake makes a surprise decision. As you know, Drake is all about surprises.

Even if you check Drake’s Instagram profile now, you’ll see a link that points visitors to what appears to be the Views album. However, once you click the link, depending on your device, either it takes you to Apple’s iTunes download page, or — if you have iTunes, as well as Drake’s music already on your device — it will take you to Drake’s newest music in your iTunes player. It’s a clever way to keep Drizzy fresh within his audience’s minds, right?
