The Walking Dead Season 6 finale left fans in a frenzy after a brutal scene where newly introduced villain, Negan, was seen bashing in the head of one of our beloved survivors, but who? That is the question as viewers were left with a frustrating cliffhanger. While everyone seems to have an opinion about who was killed, Glenn, Daryl, Michonne, and others, one theory is that it was actually Abraham who met Lucille in the finale.
According to Hollywood Life, Negan killing Abraham during The Walking Dead Season 6 finale makes the most sense for a number of reasons, and many fans would be just fine with that if it meant saving Glenn and/or Daryl.
The report suggests that one of the reasons Abraham was probably Negan’s unlucky victim is because Abraham’s comic book death was given to Denise. Just a couple of episodes back, Walking Dead viewers watched poor Dr. Denise take an arrow right through the head. That is how Abraham dies in the comic book series. Giving his comic death to another character changes things, and opens him up to be Negan’s victim.
Perhaps Negan decided to kill Abraham above the others because our favorite red-headed survivor made a point to show no fear as Negan walked by him wielding his scary weapon of choice, a bat that he lovingly calls Lucille. Negan may have been angered by Abraham’s show of resistance and decided to kill him just for the fact that he may cause problems for Negan and The Saviors down the road.
It’s a possibility that Negan might have also chosen Abraham because he’s a big guy. Nothing to provoke fear like seeing the biggest and strongest person in the group fall. If Negan had no problem killing off a large, Army-trained Abraham, then every other member of the group would be a piece of cake, right?
The final reason why so many Walking Dead fans are hopeful that Abraham got Negan’s bat and not Glenn or Daryl is because in the audio from the Season 6 finale, we can hear a lot of voice screaming and yelling as the victim gets his head bashed in, but we seemingly do not hear Abraham’s gruff voice.
It’s all too hard to say, but one thing is for sure, Walking Dead fans are not happy they have to wait 6 months until Season 7 airs to find out who Negan’s victim really is.
Do you think Negan killed Abraham on The Walking Dead Season 6 finale?
