Gwen Stefani Reveals Her Body Slimming Secrets: ‘You Have To Torture Yourself’

Gwen Stefani was very candid when answering questions about her dieting secrets during an interview with Harper’s Bazaar. The platinum blonde star does not credit her genes, vegan food, or even a raw diet as the reasons for her envious figure; Gwen Stefani believes you have to “torture yourself” to stay fit.

Gwen Stefani is not advocating undergoing any type of painful cosmetic procedure or starving yourself; she is simply honest enough to state there is no real secret to staying fit. As Stefani stated in the Harper’s Bazaar interview as she prepared for her cover photo shoot, you have to eat healthy and work out if you want to look and feel good.

“It’s more for my brain than for my body,” Gwen Stefani claims when asked about her workout routine. “I like to wear clothes too much, so I try to keep focused.”

The 42-year-old singer is known for her sweat inducing on-stage performances with her band, No Doubt. Stefani also notes that she goes to the gym as often as her schedule allows for both the physical and mental benefits of exercise.

“It’s, like the real deal, dude. It’s super fun being a mom but it’s hard too. Finding a balance between work and family is the hardest thing I’ve ever done – by far,” Stefani added while discussing her career and motherhood.

Gwen Stefani also shared that she routinely puts on makeup her trademark red lipstick multiple times a day to garner her husband’s adoring glances and has been know to apply makeup twice a day, the Daily Mail reports. When discussing her makeup routine with the Harper’s Bazaar journalist, she revealed that she put on makeup to drive her child to school and then washed it off and reapplied before her lunchtime interview. After discussing her diet secrets, motherhood, and makeup, Gwen Stefani added that untrue comments about her allegedly troubled marriage and other aspects of her life slide off her back and do not cause her strife.
