Gwen Stefani Breaks Silence On Gavin Rossdale’s Alleged Affair With Nanny Mindy Mann?
Gwen Stefani’s husband, Gavin Rossdale, reportedly cheated on her with their former nanny, Mindy Mann, and while she’s maintained silence in regard to the issue in recent months, she allegedly addressed the rumored affair during a new interview.
According to a new report, Gwen Stefani’s single, “Used To Love You,” was a major stepping stone for Gwen Stefani when it came to getting over the end of her 13-year marriage to Rossdale, as she used her heartbreak to channel deep emotions for the track.
“The Truth Comes Out! Gwen Stefani Breaks Silence On Gavin Rossdale’s Alleged Nanny Affair,” read an OK! Magazine headline on March 31. And inside, Gwen Stefani spoke of her anger after divorce.
“I went through a real period of anger, but I felt like this song was almost like a forgiveness song,” Gwen Stefani explained to Vanity Fair. “It’s admitting, I used to love you and now I don’t.”

According to an Us Weekly report in November, Gwen Stefani discovered her husband was cheating on her in February of last year, but due to his denial, she didn’t file for divorce until August 2015.
At the time Gwen Stefani had learned of her husband’s alleged infidelities, it was noted that she had been informed of the rumored affair by one of her other staff members, and on the family’s iPad, messages between Rossdale and Mindy Mann were found. When confronted, however, Rossdale claimed the messages were nothing more than flirtation, and he and Gwen Stefani remained married for several months as they tried to move past the issue.
“I opened this channel to writing again,” Gwen Stefani said months after news of her husband’s alleged affair hit the web. “It was me being honest, being real.”
Gwen Stefani’s latest album, This Is What The Truth Feels Like, is described by OK! Magazine as a “journey of getting over Gavin and finding her new love Blake Shelton.”
“I feel like I’m in an amazing songwriting place; instead of being closed off, I’m thinking about positivity and how I can do something creative,” Gwen Stefani said. “I’m just doing what I want to do. It’s so incredible to be in that zone. I’m always looking for the next song, and now I don’t have to be insecure or write about heartache.”
In addition to “Used To Love You,” Gwen Stefani also channeled her emotions into her more recent hit, “Make Me Like You,” which is about Shelton, and included a neon sign reading “Blake’s” in the music video.
