Snoop Dogg’s Big Plans To Save Roscoe’s Chicken N’ Waffles

Snoop Dogg, like most people, doesn’t want to depart from his chicken and waffles. The rapper revealed that he has big plans to save the struggling Roscoe’s Chicken ‘N Waffles from bankruptcy.

Snoop Dogg has offered to buy the chain restaurant so it doesn’t have to go through with Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. On Tuesday, March 29, the company announced that it has filed for bankruptcy in order to prevent shutting down its restaurants. Snoop Doog told TMZ that he has big plans for the struggling restaurant.

“I guess I’m gonna have to buy it and call it Snoop Dogg’s Chicken N Waffles,” he jokingly told the photographers. Dogg is likely to be kidding, but it’s not like it would be his first business venture.

In the documents filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in California, its parent company East Coast Foods revealed that it has debts between $10 million and $50 million, and that its assets are only less than $50,000. The court filings did not reveal if the bankruptcy would affect the business of its Southern California Roscoe’s Chicken ‘N Waffles restaurants.

The eatery has always had support from the hip-hop community. The late rapper Notorious B.I.G. name-dropped the restaurant chain in his song “Going Back to Cali.” Meanwhile, Snoop Dogg took both Larry King and David Beckham to the chicken place on his reality show.

But the restaurants have been making headlines for its financial struggles instead of its amazing food. Back in October, a Los Angeles judge demanded the company to pay $3.2 million to Daniel Beasley, a former employee who accused the company of racial discrimination. The jury awarded Beasley $1.7 million, plus he was awarded $1.5 million in attorney’s fees.

Meanwhile, insiders told the Hollywood Life that Snoop Dogg is rooting for Nick Young to end his engagement with rapper Iggy Azalea. The NBA star has been asking for his friends’ support amid the cheating allegations, but they’re celebrating the fact that he could be single soon.

“While Nick’s crying over Iggy and desperately trying to win her back, his friends are celebrating. None of his boys ever liked her from the beginning. Over the past few months [they felt like] she’s been draining Nick. Every time he had a free day away from the court [they said] she had the leash around his neck.”

Sources claim that Snoop Dogg has been the loudest about his disapproval over Nick’s fiancée. Apparently, he’s not a huge fan of the “Fancy” rapper.

“[Iggy’s] basically stopped her music career to smother him. Nick’s homie Snoop is celebrating the most. Dogg isn’t an Iggy fan and shot Nick a text that said ‘get out while you can cuz.’ Nick’s knows that his boys are looking out for him, but his heart bleeds for Iggy. He wants that girl and is determined to do what it takes to make her love him again.”

In other Dogg news, the rapper will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. On Monday, March 28, WWE announced that Snoop Dogg will be inducted into the Hall’s celebrity wing. He joins a long list of celebrities including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Donald Trump, and Mike Tyson.

He won’t be the only one inducted. Snoop is joining the likes of Big Boss Man, the Fabulous Freebirds, the Godfather, and Sting at the 2016 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony on Saturday, April 2, according to Rolling Stone. Check out Snoop and the rest of the gang on the WWE Network at 8 p.m. EST.
