‘DWTS’ Mischa Barton Blames Sickness For Bad Attitude, Will She Go Home Next Week? [Video]

It was a rough night for Mischa Barton on Dancing with the Stars last night, and she is blaming it all on being sick.

Barton and her partner, Artem Chigvintsev, needed an amazing dance performance to redeem themselves after their rocky start last week, but that did not happen. In fact, for the second week in a row, Mischa and Artem received a very low score. This week, they earned a 15, which is actually one point less than their score from the week before. They danced the Cha Cha, and it was stiff, they were not in sync, and the timing was off. Barton looked so out of place and off-character. It was just bad, bad, bad.

It was not just a lackluster perform on DWTS that has people talking about Mischa Barton — it was her bad attitude as well. During rehearsals, Barton came across as having a major attitude towards both Chigvintsev and the producers of the show. Mischa appears uninterested in what Artem has to say about their Cha Cha and would continuously reply “whatever” to his requests. Her seriously bad attitude was that of classic Mischa from her bad-girl days on The O.C.

Although Carrie, Bruno, and Len gave Barton and Chigvintsev a low score, they did not completely rip the actress apart. In fact, they were actually pretty easy on her, but that didn’t stop Mischa from turning on the water works. Carrie even praised her for showing more personality but then remarked how Barton was off beat, a point that Mischa blamed on not being able to hear the music. Perhaps Mischa should talk to Nyle DiMarco about how he deals with not being able to hear the music. Seriously, who complains about that when you have deaf contestant doing awesome in the completion? It’s just another sign of her bad attitude.

According to an interview with Us Weekly, Mischa Barton’s DWTS bad attitude can easily be explained. Barton told the magazine after the show that she had been feeling sick for days and getting through rehearsal had been a battle for her. Barton went on to explain that the limited time to learn a dance is rough and even rougher when you are under the weather. It is not the most ridiculous excuse ever, but come on — take a little responsibility for actions.

With two very lackluster performances under her belt, the big question remains: Will Barton go home next week? She ended up in the bottom three this week along with Doug Flutie and Geraldo Rivera. In the end, Mischa escaped being the first star to go home — that honor went to Rivera. However, with her actions this week and her not exactly being on the same page as Chigvintsev, there is a really good chance she will go home soon.

However, if you ask Mischa Barton about her status on DWTS, you will probably hear her say, “I’m not a quitter.” Those are the words she spoke to Entertainment Tonight as she talked about finding her rhythm and powering through the dances. Where was that attitude this week?

Mischa may not be performing well, but voters do like an underdog, especially one that brings drama to the show, so she might actually stay around for a little while. And who knows? Next week Barton and Artem could give an awesome performance that will not only blow Carrie, Bruno, and Len’s minds but impress the heck out of the voters. Hey, anything can happen in the ballroom, right?

What do you think about Mischa Barton’s bad attitude on DWTS? Do you think she has what it takes to stick around, or will she out the door soon?
