‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: A Character Death Looms, Who Is Getting Killed Off Soon?

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that the end of Victor’s trial will not mean the end of chaos in Genoa City. The Newman family all banded together to try to put the family patriarch behind bars, but actors Eric Braeden and Peter Bergman tease that there are significant shake-ups on the way over the next few weeks. What Y&R teasers did they detail in a recent interview?

Braeden, who plays Victor, and Bergman, who plays Jack, did a brief interview with KMTV where they teased some Young and Restless spoilers. They say that the trial ends in a surprising way. As Monday’s episode plays out, viewers will see that Newman defends himself far better than most would have expected. Will he really get off the hook?

Viewers know better than to expect that this character will ever be off the canvas for very long, but it sounds as if someone ends up spending some time behind bars in the weeks ahead. As Serial Scoop details, Another World star Alicia Coppola is joining Y&R soon as Meredith Gates. The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that she is a doctor who works in a prison infirmary. She is said to be a dynamic character who is sympathetic to those she works with, but very emotional, and Coppola teases that the role has been quite fully developed by the writers.

Just who will be in jail and needing medical attention in a way that warrants Dr. Gates’ assistance? Obviously, Victor would be the logical guess here, if the trial doesn’t go his way and he lands behind bars. He’s been having some medical issues that have yet to be determined, but will he really be found guilty? Of course, many will start buzzing about the possibilities of a love interest for this new Genoa City resident, as Coppola is a soap fan-favorite actress who can certainly create sparks with someone in Genoa City, should she be given the chance.

Bergman teased in the interview that not only does the trial end in an unexpected way, but he added some Young and Restless spoilers detailing that relationships would fall apart over the next few weeks. Adam and Chelsea could certainly face obstacles if he backtracks on his decision to run Newman Enterprises, and there is that kiss between Phyllis and Billy that is sure to shake things up. For now, however, fans will have to stay tuned to see which relationships falter heading into the May sweeps period not far down the road.

The Y&R actor revealed one more juicy teaser that has fans buzzing. The Young and the Restless spoilers from Bergman indicate that someone in Genoa City will die soon. Will this be someone key in the mix of things, or someone whose death will make less of a splash? It sounds like whatever is coming on this front is fairly juicy, and fans are already busy speculating. There are always rumors floating around that Braeden is leaving Y&R, and this potential prison sentence and the mystery medical ailments might have some wondering if Newman will die. However, this one seems highly unlikely.

In terms of more likely candidates, many are guessing that Luca could get killed off, as he certainly has been making plenty of enemies throughout Genoa City. While the idea that Luca could be the one getting killed off soon seems a solid possibility, it looks like actor Miles Gaston Villanueva is still filming at this point. That doesn’t completely rule him out as the upcoming character death, but viewers may want to consider other options.

There are some character shifts ahead, as Kristoff St. John has indicated that he won’t be seen much over the next couple of months. In addition, both Sofia Pernas and Robert Adamson, who play Marisa and Noah, have been dropped to recurring status. Some wonder if Marisa could be killed, as Pernas has landed a role on another show. So far, it has sounded as if the two simply won’t be around much, rather than killed off. Would Y&R really kill off two fiancées in a row for Noah, or another love interest of Summer’s right now?
