Reba McEntire Speaks Out About How Faith Helped Her Through Her Divorce
Country music singer Reba McEntire recently went through a big divorce and now the singer is revealing that faith is what helped her to make it through. Parade shared that Reba had to say about how she made it through this hard time in her life. Reba and her husband and manager, Narvel Blackstock, called their marriage quits after being married for 26 years, shocking everyone.

Back in August of 2015, Reba and Narvel revealed that they were getting a divorce and then, by October, it was already final. Reba sat down with Parade for an interview that gave some of the details about what happened during her big divorce. This divorce has been hard on Reba McEntire and she shared that she has had a lot of questions through the last few years. Here is what Reba had to say.
“I have a long list and so many questions for God. Why did this happen? And how did you allow that? Over the last two years I’ve been going through a divorce. God’s way is the best way. And it seems to me that Narvel is happier and I’m in a really good state of mind. It’s taken me this time to pull through why and how. And there’s been a lot between us and I believe that to forgive is easier than forget. I can never forget some of what he did. But going on with life is what’s really important. And my faith helped me with that. I think about what God wants me to do. I focus on that. Faith is really important. It keeps me sane and it keeps me hopeful.”
Inquisitr actually revealed that Reba McEntire shared not long ago that the divorce wasn’t her idea at all. Reba revealed to Cody Alan that she didn’t want the divorce at all and it was not her idea. This was all Narvel’s idea and Reba gave him what he wanted. It is what ended up happening, but Reba didn’t want it to go that way. She feels like life is too short to be miserable though.
So what is Reba McEntire doing now with her life? Well if you remember, Reba has done television before and says that she would love to do another TV show in the future. Reba also wants to do more western movies and even would love to go on tour more. You should also expect another album from Reba and hopefully pretty soon. Reba isn’t done with her music career and you never know what she will be doing next. Now if she won’t be having fun doing it, then Reba just doesn’t want any part of it. That is a pretty smart decision by this country singer.
Earlier this month Reba McEntire remembered the members of her band who died in a plane crash 25 years ago. Taste of Country shared about what Reba posted on her social networks in remembrance of them. The singer posted a picture along with this caption.
“Today is the 25th anniversary of the airplane crash. I went back to San Diego Nov of last year and took a helicopter up to the crash site. I feel in my heart that they know we still miss them so much. My love and prayers to all the families and friends.”
