Ben Affleck Sad ‘Batman v Superman’ Video Goes Viral: Jennifer Lopez Talks Bennifer Amid Jennifer Garner Split [Video]
Ben Affleck is sad. And while Ben doesn’t have a lack of issues to regret in his personal life amid his highly public split from wife Jennifer Garner, Affleck is sad about the response to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Showing that some superheroes get the blues, Ben joined Henry Cavill in a discussion intended to hype their new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie, but it was Affleck and his pitiful reaction to the nasty reviews that went viral in a video instead, reported Us Weekly.
Kudos go to 32-year-old Cavill, who bravely kept the interview positive by chirping his belief that fans count, not critics, when it comes to making memorable movies. But while Henry stayed sincerely positive, Ben gazed introspectively. That pitiful look on his face created for Affleck a moment of woe captured in a viral video, “Sad Affleck.”
YouTube user Sabconth uploaded the clip, which featured Ben looking pitiful, with the perfect music for the background in Simon & Garfunkel’s poignant “The Sound of Silence.” The headlines chosen to highlight the vision of Affleck made his sad look even more woebegone, including ” ‘Batman v Superman’ Will Make You Hate Batman, Superman and the Justice League” as well as ” ‘Batman v Superman’ Review: This Movie Is a Crime Against Comic Book Fans.”
But the sorrow of Affleck at the mean reviews is relatively minor compared to how Ben has behaved when discussing his breakup with Jennifer Garner.
“Life doesn’t always turn out exactly the way you want,” said Affleck regretfully.
As for what caused Ben to break up with Jennifer, and what Affleck brings to relationships, another Jennifer offered her insights. Jennifer Lopez is now looking back at her time with Ben and analyzing what went wrong for “Bennifer,” reported People.
“We didn’t try to have a public relationship,” emphasized Jennifer. “We just happened to be together at the birth of the tabloids, and it was like ‘Oh my God.’ It was just a lot of pressure.”
Moreover, Lopez admits that she truly believed at the time that Ben was the ideal man for her. However, her first impression of Ben changed significantly after Jennifer and Affleck sought to become closer.
“I felt like… ‘Okay, this is it,’ ” recalled Lopez of her initial meeting with Ben. “[But] sometimes I feel like what you think people are and how you see them when you love them is different than when they reveal later.”
Consequently, Jennifer and Affleck survived one of the most dramatic almost-married — but-not moments in celebrity relationship history. It was only one day prior to their scheduled wedding ceremony when Ben and Lopez cancelled their wedding plans.
Subsequently, Jennifer wed Marc Anthony. And Affleck moved on to Jennifer Garner. But does Lopez still see the possibility for a forever future in their romance?
As for Jennifer Garner, she and Ben are seeking to be candid. And that means, at least for Affleck, admitting that neither he nor Jennifer knows what the future holds, noted Us Weekly.
When it comes to dealing with their separation, Affleck stressed that he and Garner are taking it one day at a time, and focusing on their children.
“We’re doing our very best and we’re putting our kids first,” emphasized Ben. “That’s how we’re focusing on our day-to-day lives, and we don’t know what the future’s going to hold.”
However, Affleck praised Jennifer for providing a role model in how to make their children their priority.
“Each step that we take is one where we prioritize our children, and everything else comes second. She’s just so good at doing that and sets such a good example. And that’s a lead that I follow.”
