Chrissy Teigen Says Her Baby Is ‘So Lucky It’s Unfair’ After Fast Food Baby Shower

Chrissy Teigen is grateful for her famous West Coast friends after they threw her a second baby shower in Los Angeles just two weeks after she had one in New York. Chrissy’s most recent baby shower was hosted by good pal Kim Kardashian, according to Entertainment Weekly, and the guest list included A-listers including Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Minka Kelly, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Malika Hagg, and Dancing With the Stars co-host Erin Andrews.

Teigen’s entire backyard brunch-themed baby shower played out on Snapchat, and it even had its own swirly-fonted “Chrissy’s baby shower” Snapchat filter, a special detail that made the mom-to-be get a bit emotional.

The Sports Illustrated model and wife of John Legend posted a message on Twitter following her baby shower, saying how lucky she is to have “the greatest friends on the entire planet.” Chrissy Teigen then added that her baby daughter is already so lucky that it’s almost unfair. Indeed, with so many celebrity pals in their lives, Chrissy and John’s daughter will likely be one pampered princess.

Chrissy Teigen’s baby shower was not a typical Hollywood party. According to People, the brunch menu included a wide array of fast food delicacies, including McDonalds favorites like Sausage McMuffins and hash browns, as well as Taco Bell treats, nacho cheese dip, and frosties. Cinnabon was also in the house, with boxes of cinnamon rolls decorated with John Legend’s baby photo embellished with a pink bow.

Of course, only in Hollywood can junk food be made to look so so fancy. The fabulous fast food spread was served on a long table adorned with gorgeous white roses, which was definitely a breathtaking backdrop for the baby shower brunch.

In addition to the food, which also included a tiered cake embellished with another Legend baby photo, and glasses of rose wine, during the party, guests played a game in which they had to write their own nursery rhyme. Snapchats also documented a kitchen dance party, some Teigen tummy kissing, and the arrival of John Legend, who joined in for Chrissy’s baby shower later in the day.

Chrissy Teigen has been vocal throughout her pregnancy and has kept her fans in the loop the entire way. Teigen has also talked about her experiences with in vitro fertilization, and she even revealed that she gave herself IVF shots during her famous Sports Illustrated swimsuit shoot. Teigen later told People that she and her husband picked out a girl embryo because she wanted her husband to have that father-daughter bond. The couple received some backlash for handpicking the gender of their child, but Teigen stood her ground and said that while a little boy will be in their future too, the timing was right to have a daughter first.

“It excited me to see … just the thought of seeing him with a little girl. I think he deserves a little girl. I think he deserves that bond. A boy will come along. We’ll get there too, so it’s not like we really have to pick. But he definitely is very lucky to have a little girl. And this girl is going to be so completely lucky to have John as her papa — it’s crazy!”

Chrissy Teigen and John legend tied the knot in 2013. Their baby girl is due next month, and it already looks like she is a very loved little girl–and definitely a lucky one.
