Phaedra Parks’ Apology: ‘Kenya Is Definitely Not My Favorite Person’

Phaedra Parks has been focusing on her children and her business over the past year. She decided to keep filming The Real Housewives of Atlanta after her husband was sentenced to eight years behind bars for illegal business dealings and fraud. While many expected that Phaedra would stop filming the show, she kept going and continued to share her life in front of the cameras. And after dealing with her emotions, Parks started some feuds with her co-star.

According to a new Bravo report, Phaedra Parks is now revealing that she’s not fond of Kenya Moore, which is why these two continue to bicker. During the reunion special, Phaedra told Kenya that she had bad skin, which is why she called her an oatmeal pie face. It did seem rather rude and uncalled for, and in her new Bravo blog, Parks does admit that she needed to apologize to Moore.

“I apologized to Kenya because she expressed that I had hurt her feelings, which was not my intention, so I felt owed her an apology. While Kenya is definitely not my favorite person, I do not have an issue with her. I do not always understand her, but I am clear that it takes all kinds of people to make the world go around,” Phaedra Parks reveals.

She didn’t clarify what she truly apologized for, but it sounds like she didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings – that doesn’t mean she doesn’t stand by what she said.

Even though it has been over 18 months since Apollo Nida turned himself in, he continues to be a huge part of her storyline on the show. On this season, the feds learned that Apollo was storing some things at Kandi Burruss’ home in Atlanta. The feds showed up to claim his things, and Kandi cooperated. But Parks seemed more interested in the financial deal between herself and Todd Tucker that didn’t work out. She kept dishing out money for a pregnancy workout video but never got anything back.

“I was thinking this whole situation has been extremely frustrating and blown out of proportion. The video was shot almost three years ago. Todd has been paid all of the money invoiced and I still have not received a commercially acceptable product. However, I am not going to put any more of my energy into this matter,” Parks revealed of the money drama with Kandi.

For a while, Phaedra didn’t want to publish the video, and she was ready to put it on the shelf. But during the reunion special, Parks revealed that she would be pursuing the publication and was working with her distributor to put the final touches on the video. It sounds like Parks may be able to make back her money that she invested in the project.

As for Kim Fields, Parks is glad to see Kim fighting back on the reunion special. Phaedra did try to give Kim some encouragement earlier in the season, but Fields’ kindness and sweet disposition were quickly stomped on.

“I was thoroughly delighted to see Kim take a firm, defensive stance. Unfortunately, in this group many times people confuse kindness with weakness,” Phaedra Parks revealed of Kim Fields, who is still somewhat new to the group.

Fields revealed that she may be completely done with The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and her decision could have something to do with Kenya. The two women didn’t exactly get along. And maybe Phaedra Parks can relate, as she isn’t a bit fan of Moore.
