“Jane Roe” Norma McCorvey Arrested at Supreme Court Hearing

Norma McCorvey, better remembered as “Jane Roe” in the Roe vs Wade case was arrested today at the Supreme Court confirmation hearing for Sonia Sotomayor.

McCorvey and one other protester interrupted the beginning of the hearing, yelling anti-abortion statements until being removed by security. Although it’s not clear from video what McCorvey was yelling, some reports suggest she screamed at Sotomayor that she was “wrong ” for her abortion rights views.

Although Roe originally was a pro-abortion advocate, in later years she has become a militant anti-abortion activist. McCorvey has been charged with unlawful conduct.
