Drake And Tory Lanez Feud Heating Up? ‘Say It’ Singer Hangs With Quentin Miller At SXSW

Drake may have fueled feud rumors with Tory Lanez after dissing the fellow Toronto native in his “Summer Sixteen” track, but it appears that Lanez is only furthering the feud claims after he was spotted hanging with Drake’s rumored ghostwriter, Quentin Miller, at SXSW over the weekend.

In January, Drake appeared to address rumors of an ongoing feud with Tory Lanez after reportedly dissing the rapper and the “new Toronto” in his “Summer Sixteen” single. In the second verse for the track, Drake seemingly alludes to the title of Lanez’s 2015 mixtape release, The New Toronto, when he raps, “All you boys in the new Toronto want to be me a little.”

In response to Drake’s reported “Summer Sixteen” dig, Lanez told Revolt that he’s unsure “what [Drake] has against me,” before noting, “I’m getting money over here. I’m good, I’m young, I’m finally in a position to feed my family, please don’t take that away from me.”

Tory Lanez appeared to dispel the escalating feud rumors by admitting, “I’m a f***ing Drake fan. Drake could diss me 20,000 times and I would never diss him.”

Just weeks later, Tory Lanez seemingly opened up about his alleged beef with Drake during a live concert in February, telling fans, “One thing, no matter what, it’s always calculated,” XXL Magazine reported.

Now, it appears that Tory Lanez is only continuing to add fuel to the Drake feud rumors after the rapper was spotted hanging with Quentin Miller, Drake’s rumored ghostwriter, during the SXSW festival on Friday.

Miller took to Instagram on Friday evening to share a photo of himself and Lanez while seemingly alluding to the Drake and Tory feud rumors with the caption, “Let’s see how the media spins this lol…Shout out this guy and anyone else pursuing their own happiness…”

In response to Miller’s caption, fans took to the comment section of Quentin’s photo to weigh-in with their thoughts on the artist’s recent hangout with Lanez, with one fan explaining, “Idk what [D]rake did [to] you. U chillin’ with his enemy, throwin’ shots etc idk lol.”

The news comes just two months after Quentin Miller was accused of leaking Drake’s “Summer Sixteen” lyrics to Meek Mill after the Philly rapper surprised fans with the release of his own diss record, “War Pain,” within an hour of Drake releasing his new single via OVO Sound Radio.

Meek added fuel to the leak rumors after he took to Instagram later that evening to share a photo of himself with the message, “The ghost writer told me!” The comment seemingly confirmed speculation that it was Quentin Miller who leaked Drake’s “Summer Sixteen” lyrics prior to its release.

While neither Quentin Miller nor Drake directly addressed the “Summer Sixteen” leak directly, Miller did open up in response to the Drake ghostwriting accusations in a blog post shared to his personal tumblr account last year, Vibe reported.

When asked about Meek Mill’s claims suggesting that Quentin penned several of Drake’s tracks from his If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late release, Quentin explained, “I am not and never will be a ‘ghostwriter’ for Drake…I’m proud to say we’ve collaborated…but I could never take credit for anything other than the few songs we worked on together.”

While it’s unclear whether or not Tory Lanez and Quentin Miller have plans to collaborate on new music in the future, it appears that the feud rumors between Tory and Drake are only continuing to escalate.
