Robert De Niro’s ‘The Big Wedding’ Trailer Debuts


Robert De Niro returns to the world of comedy with The Big Wedding and today the movies official trailer debuted on YouTube.

The movie features an all-star cast that includes Diane Keaton, Robert De Niro, Susan Sarandon, Robin Williams, Katherine Heigl, Amanda Seyfried and Topher Grace.

The Big Wedding is a romantic comedy about a modern family trying to make it through a weekend wedding celebration that quickly starts turning into a family fiasco.

According to the trailers synopsis:

“To the amusement of their adult children and friends, long divorced couple Don and Ellie Griffin (De Niro and Keaton) are once again forced to play the happy couple for the sake of their adopted son’s wedding after his ultra conservative biological mother unexpectedly decides to fly halfway across the world to attend. With all of the wedding guests looking on, the Griffins are hilariously forced to confront their past, present and future – and hopefully avoid killing each other in the process.”

The movie is directed by Justin Zackham and will released in theaters on Oct. 26, 2012.

Zackham calls Robert DeNiro “frisky” in the film, noting that he shows a new side to himself alongside Diane Keaton.

Dinero proved through the “Focker” series that he can play a slightly off kilter family man, it looks as if he’ll have a chance at broadening that craziness in The Big Wedding.
