Ben Carson, The Perfect Choice For Donald Trump’s Vice President

The surprising new partnership formed between presidential hopeful Donald Trump and former GOP rival, Dr. Ben Carson, is causing waves in the political arena. Carson was not expected to endorse Donald Trump over Ted Cruz, and one might wonder if this alliance is the first step along a path that will lead to a shared ticket. Though Trump has made no mention of his potential choice for vice president, should he win the nomination, a presidential team made up of this duo would make much sense.

Though the two seem to be polar opposites, Ben Carson’s cool, sensible demeanor would likely go a long way to balancing the fire of The Donald’s temper. Voters who fear that Trump will make rash decisions may be calmed by knowing the quiet, logical Carson will be his right hand man. While Donald Trump and Ben Carson are equally strong, their personalities lie on each end of the spectrum. A presidential team with such a mixture would theoretically create a perfect balance.

Donald Trump and Ben Carson have been popular with many due to the absence of a long political career. Trump is a business man and very successful. Carson is a neurosurgeon and very successful. They lack the insincerity of those with long standing political careers. Both men will bring valuable assets from what they have experienced in their chosen fields.

Donald Trump knows how to create jobs, make money, manage money, and lead a huge conglomerate to success. America desperately needs a president with each one of these attributes.

Ben Carson has made a career of saving lives. America needs someone in the White House who recognizes the value of each and every life. This encompasses everything from opposing abortion to sending out our troops. Decisions affecting the potential loss of life will be weighed very carefully by one such as Dr. Carson.

Initially, Dr. Carson defended his endorsement of The Donald by saying there are “two Trumps.” While we all know the arrogant, confident, loud personality in front of the camera, Carson promises that Trump is much different behind the scenes. According to NPR, Ben has a deep respect for Donald Trump based on his dealings with him over the years.

“Now some people said, ‘now why would you get behind a man like Donald Trump?’ I’ll tell you why. First of all, I’ve come to know Donald Trump over the last few years. He is actually a very intellegent man who cares deeply about America.”

“There’s two different Donald Trumps. There’s the one you see on the stage, and the one who’s very cerebral, sits there, and considers things very carefully. You can have a very good conversation with him. And that’s the Donald Trump that you’re going to start seeing more and more of right now.”

The recent rivals have been questioned about the dramatic turn in their relationship. Both men say it was nothing personal, just politics. Donald Trump explains his position.

“The one person that just kept sneaking up on me – I couldn’t lose him – was Dr. Ben Carson…. And so I started going after Ben. It’s politics. Ben understands that. And I was really impressed by the way he fought back. Because he fought back with silence and strength.”

Speaking out against those within the political parties who wish to “thwart the will of the people,” Carson said politicians should be about building up our country instead of tearing it down, notes the Hollywood Reporter. There has always been the very real possibility that even if Donald Trump does win all the delegates needed for the GOP nomination, the party may choose another candidate in his stead. Most of the GOP candidates agree this would be a colossal mistake that would divide the Republican party and basically give the election to the Democrats.

Do you think a Donald Trump and Ben Carson alliance for the White House would be a good idea? Would it boost The Donald’s already high vote ratings?
