‘Teen Wolf’ Season 6 Spoilers: Stydia Status Known, New Actor Joins Show

Teen Wolf may have ended its fifth season on Tuesday, but loyal viewers are already eager to know what’s in store for Season 6. MTV, which airs Teen Wolf, has already begun to tease its fans by airing a trailer after the season finale.

The trailer offers very little, but just enough to captivate fans of Teen Wolf. One of the clearer images from the trailer involves a mysterious man riding a horse who happens to be chasing Hayden and Liam through the woods. Another slightly longer image has Stiles entering a hospital room none too happy. And one other image has an unknown character holding the hand of a sleeping hospital patient.

While the teaser trailer for Season 6 of Teen Wolf left more clues than answers, Teen Wolf showrunner Jeff Davis sat down for an interview with TV Line and offered more substantial plans for Season 6. Among one of the more major plot points is the character of a Nazi werewolf. This beast crawled of out a machine at the end of the finale and will be a big threat to the pseudo-peace of Beacon Hills, Jeff Davis said.

“I can absolutely confirm that the soldier has left the machine and will be a part of Season 6, a threat. It was something we were planning for a while, and we weren’t sure if we were going to use that final shot, but once we started shooting Season 6, we figured we might as well use it.”

As for the romance front, the characters of Stiles and Lydia had lingering feelings in Season 5 of Teen Wolf, and that relationship will continue to grow in Season 6, Jeff Davis hinted.

“They’re not only lingering feelings — they become a focus, a focal point of the next season. Something big happens in the very first episode of Season 6 between Stiles and Lydia, which you’ll have to tune in to see.”

Season 5 of Teen Wolf also left Mason dealing with everything that he has gone through. How he progresses will be an arc for Season 6. Explains showrunner Jeff Davis, though, Mason is at his best when he’s upbeat, so having him deal thoroughly with his mixed emotions will be central to Season 6 of Teen Wolf.

“One of the things we like most about his character is that he’s utterly optimistic. He’s got this unflagging enthusiasm, so I don’t know how much we’re going to darken his character. He’s sort of a beacon of light for the other characters, and now that he’s human again, we’re most excited to see him being funny.”

One other character central to Teen Wolf is that of Kira, who took quite the journey with skinwalkers this season. Showrunner Jeff Davis was a bit coyer about Kira’s fate.

“There are some big changes coming to the show next season; you’ll have to wait and see the fate of Kira.”

With the main cast of Teen Wolf gearing up to start shooting for Season 6, there is also news of at least one new face joining the cast. According to Deadline, Pete Ploszek will join the cast of Teen Wolf as Beacon Hills High School newest teacher. His character is Mr. Garrett Douglas, a man described only as a charming, handsome young new teacher.

While the gang of Beacon Hills has undoubtedly been busy lately, another thing that may happen in Season 6 of Teen Wolf is graduation. Season 5 looked like everyone was on the track to graduation, and hopefully Season 6 will see it through, along with the challenges that come from no longer seeing your friends in the same place every day.

Season 6 will also change some of the behind-the-scenes individuals, too. Showrunner Jeff Davis plans to step back, giving more room for Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey to develop the series as it draw closer to its end, the Inquisitr has previously reported.

Season 6 of Teen Wolf will happen, but so far a premiere date has not been announced. The show has traditionally started airing in June, so it can be assumed the same will happen for Season 6.
