Hulk Hogan ‘Humiliated’ By Celebrity Sex Tape Released By Gawker Media

Former wrestler Hulk Hogan went into court this week, as his $100 million trial against Gawker begins. Hogan revealed that when Gawker originally released a clip of his infamous sex tape with his best friend’s wife on their website, he was “humiliated” and “shaking violently,” reports IOL.

“I was pretty rocked. I felt numb,” Hulk Hogan said to the jury in the Florida courtroom. “My arms and hands started shaking violently. I didn’t go into a spasm, but it was one of those things where I couldn’t stop shaking.”

Apparently, Hulk Hogan was in the middle of doing a publicity tour for TNA Wrestling in October of 2012 when TMZ contacted him. The gossip site informed Hogan that Gawker Media had posted a clip of the sex tape. Hulk also realized that his friend Bubba “The Love Sponge” Clem was responsible for recording the sex tape and allowing it to leak onto the internet.

“The news just hit me,” Hulk Hogan said in court. “They told me that Bubba was on the other end of the tape, saying, ‘Heather, if we ever need to retire, this is our retirement.'”

This definitely seems to imply that Clem was suggesting the possibility of holding this video footage over Hogan’s head in the future if they ever needed to, either blackmailing him for money or outright selling the tape themselves.

Heather Clem, Bubba the Love Sponge’s ex-wife, was apparently told on numerous occasions that she should hook up with Hulk Hogan, as he was told he should hook up with Heather. Bubba was the one doing the suggesting. The sex tape that leaked was just one session Hulk and Heather had together, as there were apparently two or three other occasions in which they slept together. And what happened before the first time Hulk and Heather slept together is also a bit strange.

In 2007, Hulk Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, was told by his first wife, Linda, that she wanted a divorce and was filing the papers. Hogan called his best friend Bubba, “crying like a baby” over the phone. Bubba invited Hulk over to his home to talk it out, and Hogan accepted. Bubba and Heather joined Hulk in a group hug when he arrived at their home, which led to Heather taking Hulk’s hand and walking him into a bedroom.

Bubba handed him a condom and told him that he was going to his office. And when asked by Hogan if Bubba was going to be filming their sex act, Bubba lied to his best friend.

“I would never do that to you,” Bubba said, according to Hogan.

Bubba and Hulk Hogan were able to settle their dispute for $5,000, with Bubba giving a public apology to his friend.

“I was embarrassed about what it did to me as a person, but it was even embarrassing as a character,” Hulk Hogan said about the sex tape being released by Gawker. “To Hulk Hogan, it was embarrassing.”

“Terry Bollea is a normal person. Wrestling is his job. I don’t argue. I’m not loud. I’m pretty soft-spoken to a fault. I don’t know really how to say no, even though I’m learning how to say no to my kids. The character of Hulk Hogan is completely opposite of Terry Bollea. The only similarity to me is the look.”

Hulk Hogan also went on to talk about his concerns about his current and second marriage to Jennifer McDaniel, who he married in 2010. Hulk says the relationship isn’t doing too well right now, with this celebrity sex tape scandal causing problems between the couple, obviously.
