Why Won’t Taylor Swift & Calvin Harris Walk The Red Carpet Together?

Taylor Swift is allegedly “crazy in love” with boyfriend Calvin Harris, so why are the couple so averse to walking a red carpet together?

According to a new report by Hollywood Life, despite Swift and Harris celebrating their one-year anniversary as a couple with a romantic date night this past weekend, we probably won’t be seeing them heading down any red carpets arm in arm anytime soon.

An insider close to Taylor is alleging that Swift is opting to keep her business and private lives separate when it comes to her Calvin romance, which means no collaborations with the DJ and no attending big public events together.

“Things are going great between Taylor and Calvin. However, Taylor is at a point in her life where she wants to keep business and pleasure separate,” a source revealed to the site, just weeks after Taylor opted to attend the 2016 Grammy awards with best friend Selena Gomez over her Scottish beau.

“She sees award shows like the Grammys and Oscars as more work-related events and right now she prefers to not mix her personal life with her business life,” the source added to the site, “that is why she did not bring Calvin to her last couple of events.”

Swift and Harris notably skipped the red carpet when they attended the 2015 Billboard Music Awards together back in May, though they did sit together at the event, but have only been spotted together in candid shots – and occasional social media photos – since.

But just because Taylor and Calvin probably won’t be attending any big awards shows together in the near future, that doesn’t mean the two have been completely avoiding each other at big events.

Though Calvin Harris steered clear of the Grammy red carpet, Hollywood Take is reporting that he was present at an after party to show his support for Taylor Swift, who took home three awards on the night.

“He was so excited for her,” a source told the site, who added that “Taylor was so happy to be around Calvin” despite their reluctance to walk the red carpet together.

But despite keeping their romance on the down low for now, Swift and Harris haven’t exactly been hiding their love on their private date nights.

Us Weekly reported earlier this week that Swift and her man were spotted celebrating their big one-year anniversary on March 1 and were seen looking cozy over a romantic dinner at CUT restaurant in Beverly Hills.

“Taylor and Calvin looked crazy in love with each other the entire time they were eating dinner. They were laughing and smiling,” an eyewitness revealed to Hollywood Life of Swift and Harris’s most recent date night, adding that the couple were “holding hands” and “seemed pretty affectionate.”

And it looks like that affection is turning into something pretty serious.

E! News reported back in January that things have been getting serious for Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris over the past few months, and even discussed the possibility of getting engaged somewhere down the line.

“They are definitely talking about their future together and the possibility of one day getting engaged,” a source revealed to E! News of Swift’s blossoming romance with her man.

“Making it work, despite their huge demanding schedules, and her tour, has proved to both of them that this is something that is serious and that could last,” the Taylor Swift insider continued to the site, adding that sticking together despite their busy schedules has “really cemented their commitment to one another.”
