‘The Walking Dead’ Spoilers: Negan Kills Fan Favorite In Comic Book Version, Will It Happen?
The Walking Dead is back and going strong. Viewers can’t wait for Negan to show up, but Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s character won’t be on The Walking Dead until further in this season. When Negan comes on The Walking Dead, he is going to have to establish himself as a bad guy. Of course, this is going to mean Negan taking down a few people and proving he isn’t afraid to kill. Bustle is sharing spoilers that in The Walking Dead comics, Negan actually kills a fan favorite and fans are hoping this isn’t how it goes down on the show as well.

Negan is actually the leader of the big biker gang that Daryl, Abraham, and Sasha came across outside of Alexandra. Negan hasn’t shown up yet, but The Walking Dead fans know he is coming. When Negan showed up in the comics, he is mad about them killing some of his people previously and he will tell them that because of this one of them has to die. The Walking Dead fans are really hoping it doesn’t happen the same way it did in the comics, though.
Negan will pick fan favorite Glenn as the one to lose his life. He will use his baseball bat, that happens to be covered in barbed wire, to beat Glenn to death with it. Fans will soon learn Negan loves this weapon and even calls it Lucille. This shocking and brutal killing of Glenn would really surprise fans considering they just saved his life on The Walking Dead last season.
Glenn almost died on The Walking Dead recently, and fans were mourning his loss and even considering boycotting the show. It would be pretty shocking if they saved Glenn on The Walking Dead to just turn around and kill him less than a season later. That being said, you know that Negan is going to kill someone when he shows up and it will probably be someone that will make a big impact on the show. The writers of The Walking Dead just have to decide who they want to lose.
The Walking Dead also shared something that they will have to figure out about Negan’s character. In the comic books, Negan has a bit of a potty mouth that won’t go over well on AMC. They actually shot The Walking Dead scenes with Negan two times. One time has the cuss words and the other time they used a more appropriate word for it. It just wouldn’t be Negan without a few cuss words. Robert Kirkman shared the details of how they will handle it all.
“I would say that there are certain words that try as I might, we are not allowed to say on AMC, and those are certain words that Negan likes to say. So those words are going to be filmed, and people are going to be able to get those words, but there are definitely some broadcast limitations that we’re going to have to deal with. We’re sorting that out now, but I will say that, worst-case scenario, the extras will be extra-special on Blu-ray. I mean, we’re trying to explore some other more interesting options, but that’s the bare minimum of what we’ll be doing.”
