‘Arrow’ EP Teases Oliver And Felicity’s Wedding, ‘Not A Dream Sequence, Not A Hallucination’ [Spoilers]

[Warning: This article features spoilers for Season 4 of Arrow]

For Arrow fans, seeing an image of Oliver and Felicity getting married couldn’t come at a better time. Season 4 has had a lot of ups and downs, including Felicity’s injuries, but none have been bigger than the most recent events surrounding Oliver’s son, William. William has been kidnapped by the ruthless Damien Darhk and the potential fallout between Felicity and Oliver after she learns that Oliver has been keeping William a secret from her is pending.

Ever since Oliver proposed to the tech wiz, fans have been wondering when and where the swapping of vows would take place; despite the recent events, it appears that the wedding will still be happening.

According to Entertainment Weekly, producer Marc Guggenheim teased fans by posting a photo from an upcoming episode which shows Oliver sporting a tuxedo while Felicity Smoak is standing — yes, standing — right across from him wearing a gorgeous wedding gown.

Which episode of Arrow will host wedding remains unknown, but the image is a clear sign (sort of) that the two will soon be hitched. It also shows that Smoak has regained the ability to walk and will finally be ditching the wheelchair.

“Not a dream sequence. Not a hallucination. Not an alternate reality. Not a flash-forward to a potential future,” Guggenheim wrote in the caption of the image via his Twitter account.

So, along with getting hitched, it also appears that Curtis Holt, who showed Felicity a biostimulant implant that he vowed would allow her to walk again, finally came through on that promise and managed to get past the injuries Felicity sustained courtesy of Damien Darhk.

However, some speculate that the Stephen Amell – who also posted the pic – and Guggenheim teamed up to throw fans off and confuse them even more and warned that the image could be a dream that Felicity has when she is getting the spinal implant.

Remember the last time Oliver tried telling Felicity about his secret son, William? It was at the farmhouse during The Flash crossover, and Oliver’s words hurt Felicity so badly that she broke off their engagement completely. Of course, that timeline never ended up happening since Barry (The Flash’s Grant Gustin) went back in time, saving both Oliver’s relationship and pretty much everyone fans have come to know and love. But, while the timeline was reset, everyone knew that eventually Felicity would find out about William, and now she has.

With the big wedding day right around the corner, the revealing tweet by Amell and Guggenheim couldn’t have come at a worse time. Felicity is still paralyzed. She has just learned Oliver, her fiancé, has a secret son named William, and if fans were thinking Felicity would just forgive and forget and go on with the wedding, E! News warns fans to think again.

In a phone conversation with E! News, Emily had this to say about her character’s discovery of William.

“I think we see her sort of play with what was his perspective on keeping it a secret, and her immediate response I think is what we saw in the crossover timeline. Obviously, they’re dealing with Darhk and they’re not in a farmhouse somewhere and things are different, and she takes her time to sort of figure it out and what happened between them so that he didn’t tell her. I don’t think we’ll be surprised [by her reaction]. I feel like we all know Felicity’s heart quite well and we’d really want her to do what she’s feeling instinctually, so hopefully she does that.”
