General Hospital fans were seriously disappointed when Brooklyn Rae Silzer left the show earlier this year as a part of the storyline that took Emma Scorpio-Drake and her parents, Robin and Patrick, off to California. Luckily, there had been talk that Emma could return to Port Charles periodically to visit Grandma Anna, and it looks like her first visit is coming soon.
According to ABC Soaps in Depth, Brooklyn Rae Silzer's first return to General Hospital is right around the corner. Executive producer Frank Valentini teases that the show has already found an excuse to bring the pint-sized actress back to town for a visit. It seems that Emma may be headed to Port Charles to visit her grandmother for spring break. While full storyline details have not yet emerged, it sounds as if Brooklyn will first start appearing on March 30 and she will stick around for a handful of episodes. As the site mentions, Silzer is still listed as being on a recurring status with the show, which is hopefully a good sign of additional returns to come in the months ahead.
It seems that Silzer has not filmed her new scenes yet, so hopefully there will be some General Hospital spoilers coming out in the near future regarding what Emma will get to do as she visits town. As viewers may recall, as Emma, Robin, and Patrick headed out of Port Charles, Grandma Anna gave the youngster a plane ticket and told her to head back to visit when she could. The big General Hospital send-off for Robin, Patrick, and Emma came as a result of actor Jason Thompson's decision to leave the soap. He is now playing Billy Abbott over on The Young and the Restless, as fans know. While many GH fans were quite disappointed to hear of his departure, "Scrubs" fans were thrilled to see that the Scorpio-Drake family were happily reunited before the big departure.
Those who love watching Silzer on-screen will also want to check out Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders when it debuts in March. Brooklyn is said to be popping up in the role of Megan Wolf on the new CBS spin-off.
While fans would love to see her in an ongoing role on the new show, it seems she has a one-episode gig and everybody will want to watch for the episode titled "De Los Innocentes," which appears to be Episode 3 of the new show.
In addition, Silzer has been cast alongside General Hospital alums Constance Towers and Kristina Wagner in the film titled The Storyteller. The project will apparently be shot this coming summer and a release date has not yet been released.
The movie is about a young foster child who joins a dysfunctional family and with the help of some magic, she escapes the troubles of her past. It seems that Brooklyn Rae Silzer is the protagonist in the new film, and her character's enchanted and loving nature helps change the family she joins as well. The project has been generating a fair amount of buzz heading into production and General Hospital fans will surely want to keep an eye out for its release.
As for what else is coming up on General Hospital, spoilers tease that someone is going to be following Anna. In addition, scoop from Soap Central shares that she is going to need to face a difficult truth in the coming week. Morgan will be in a very difficult position as the dust settles from the gun delivery debacle and there are more issues for Tracy regarding her health just ahead as well.
Fans are excited to hear that Brooklyn Rae Silzer will be back on General Hospital as Emma Scorpio-Drake soon and everybody hopes that the writers have created something significant for her to do while she is back in Port Charles. Stay tuned for more scoop as the scenes are filmed and episodes draw near to see what is set to play out during the young star's return.
