Drita D’Avanzo Still Mourning Big Ang, ‘Mob Wives’ Star Skips Live Tweet During New Episode


Drita D’Avanzo has been through a lot over the last week. The death of her brother-in-law was devastating, but the loss of Big Ang has rocked her to the core. D’Avanzo and Ang grew incredibly close over the last six seasons of Mob Wives. Looking back, they were a force to be reckoned with. D’Avanzo is having a hard time dealing with the fact that her friend is gone, and she is still extremely emotional. It has only been a week since Big Ang passed away, but D’Avanzo feels like it happened yesterday.

Rumors plagued Big Ang’s wake and funeral, but Drita D’Avanzo was not letting anything stop her from seeing her friend off. In fact, reports were out that during the services, D’Avanzo was having a hard time coping with an open casket. Her husband, Lee D’Avanzo, was there by her side. According to a report from Us Weekly, Drita D’Avanzo did not live tweet Mob Wives last night because it was still too soon for her. With everything that is happening between the ladies right now on Season 6, Ang was the only one really in Drita D’Avanzo’s corner. The last few episodes and the Mob Wives reunion is going to be rough for all the ladies, but especially for D’Avanzo.

Last night on Mob Wives, Drita D’Avanzo finished the first draft of her book. Fans have been waiting to read what she has written, especially since many have followed D’Avanzo since the beginning of Mob Wives. Despite not live tweeting last night, D’Avanzo has been active on social media. Drita did a wonderful tribute to Big Ang, and it is clear to everyone around that she is grieving her friend. The ladies had reportedly been taping parts of the reunion, and there was only one portion filmed with Big Ang before she passed. It is being said that a portion of the Mob Wives reunion will honor Ang, and the women will likely comment on their loss.

It has only been a few days since Drita D’Avanzo watched as they laid her friend to rest. She attended the wake last weekend and the funeral services on Monday. According to E! Online, Drita D’Avanzo was part of the group who walked out Big Ang’s casket. She put aside her differences with Karen Gravano to do this, and while things are not repaired between the two, they were able to remain calm for the sake of their friend. When Big Ang was dealing with her diagnosis, Drita D’Avanzo was there to support her. In the weeks leading up to her death, all of the Mob Wives ladies showed up to be there for Big Ang.

Despite coming off as hardcore, Drita D’Avanzo is mourning the loss of Big Ang hard. She is not holding things together as anticipated. Fans are sending condolences to D’Avanzo. A friendship like she had with Big Ang is nothing short of special, and the loss of it will take a toll. There are still a few more episodes of Mob Wives to be watched, and then the reunion. It is unclear whether or not D’Avanzo will watch the remainder of the season. Last night was still too fresh for her to live tweet, and fans understood. Big Ang was a huge presence for those who knew and loved her. Her loss will be felt for quite some time, and Drita D’Avanzo is still processing life without her friend.
