With Khloe Kardashian recently breaking up with James Harden and Lamar Odom slowly but surely recovering his health, many fans have been wondering if the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star is on her way to getting romantically involved again with his estranged husband.
Khloe has finally opened up about the current status of her relationship with Lamar during an exclusive interview in The Talk.
"We're not back together. We're not at all. I love him with every fiber of my being...but we were married and I shared that union with him. I didn't want for our divorce to happen, but it happened for many reasons and that doesn't mean I just forget about this person."As many can recall, Miss Kardashian filed for divorce from Lamar Odom in December 2013. Lamar, however, refused to address the initial paperwork, which forced Khloe to seek a default judgment. In April, the judge warned that the divorce case would be dismissed without the completed paperwork. Both parties finally signed the legal documents in July, and after that the divorce proceedings went as planned.
At least that was the case until Lamar Odom was found unconscious in a Las Vegas brothel for drug overdose. With Lamar Odom's health in critical condition, Khloe rushed to his bedside and since then has tended to his health, even spending the holidays with the former Laker as his health gradually turned out for the better.
Also, recently, Khloe and Lamar have been spending lots of quality time together. With James Harden out of the picture, the Strong Looks Better Naked author celebrated Valentine's Day with Lamar. Khloe was with Odom when he made his first public appearance in Kanye West's Yeezy Season 3 event extravaganza. With these in mind, fans have wondered if they are indeed on their way to getting back together.Unfortunately for the hopefuls, Khloe dashed their hopes once again by saying that her love for Lamar remains platonic, even at this stage of their complicated relationship.
"I still believe in my vows of being there for him. I know it's confusing. it's very confusing. It's not a romantic place. It's coming from a place of real care and concern and love.Khloe Kardashian admitted that she was so nervous about Lamar Odom making his first public appearance in Kanye's show. "He wanted to go to Kanye's show so badly. I had so many reservations. I was so nervous. I was just so protective. I'm still so protective," said Khloe. "But the fact that he did that and he walked in on his own, with Kanye, and he went to Madison Square Garden where he used to play basketball, it was so just impactful. It was beautiful."
"I don't think love just because we're not romantically involved means I can't care about someone. I find that so simple-minded."
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Kanye West, along with the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, contributed a lot to helping Lamar get better. According to Khloe during her interview with Ross Matthews of Hollywood Today Live, Kanye West did it via music therapy.
"Kanye was really instrumental in Lamar's getting better. Kanye would come to the hospital and play his album for Lamar and Lamar couldn't speak at this time, and music is definitely a form of therapy. But Lamar would say he could understand everything, but he couldn't get the words out and he felt really trapped within his own body, which was terrifying and we were afraid he was going to stay like that. So when he was able to finally speak he would always say 'Kanye really helped me,' I loved that he would come and do that for him."[Photo by by Richard Shotwell/AP Photo]
