Drake And Rihanna To Perform ‘Work’ At The Brit Awards? Duo Spotted Partying In London Amid Rumors

Drake and Rihanna surprised fans with the release of two full-length music videos for their track “Work” on Monday, but do the duo have an even bigger surprise in store for fans ahead of this year’s Brit Awards?

Just hours after learning that their steamy music video had catapulted “Work” into the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, Drake and Rihanna were spotted partying it up in London amid rumors that Rihanna has some big “surprises” planned for her scheduled Brit Awards performance on Wednesday.

Rihanna and Drake were photographed leaving London’s Libertine nightclub in the early hours of Tuesday morning following reports that the duo had co-hosted a private party the night before. Rihanna was spotted leaving the nightclub separately from Drake at approximately 5:30 a.m., donning a mustard-colored puffer jacket and black ensemble as she made her way to her vehicle, the Daily Mail reports.

The news comes just days after Rihanna’s backup vocalists were spotted landing in London ahead of Rihanna and Drake’s arrival, leading some to speculate that Drake may be one of the reported “surprises” that Rihanna has planned for her Brit Awards performance on February 24.

Despite claims that Rihanna is planning on backing out of her scheduled performance following several tour date cancellations for her “Anti World Tour” and a last-minute cancellation on the Grammy Awards last week, Brit Awards Chairman Max Lousada recently spoke out against the rumors by reassuring fans that Rihanna is still confirmed as one of tomorrow night’s performers.

“She’s announced,” Lousada revealed when asked about Rihanna’s scheduled performance, “And that’s already ahead of where we were last year. All international talent has a warning flag.”

While Rihanna may have cancelled on the annual awards show last year, Lousada admits that the “set and the ideas and the surprises” that Rihanna reportedly has in store for her performance “look massive,” further fueling speculation that Drake and Rihanna may team up for their first live performance of “Work” during the musical event, TV3 reports.

The news comes just weeks after Drake personally dispelled claims that he would be joining Rihanna at the Grammys to perform their new track, taking to Twitter to reveal, “I am not performing at the Grammy Awards…but hey it’s the thought that counts.”

While Rihanna’s team hasn’t confirmed what the songstress is planning on performing at the Brit Awards tomorrow night, rumors suggest that the songstress will debut her Anti track “Kiss It Better” after failing to perform the song during the Grammy Awards earlier this month due to bronchitis.

Rihanna and Drake may be keeping mum regarding the surprise performance rumors, but if the duo do end up hitting the stage together tomorrow night, it won’t be the first time that they’ve performed one of their collaborative hits on live television.

In 2011, Drake joined Rihanna onstage for the NBA All-Star Game halftime show, where they performed “What’s My Name?” before performing the track for a second time during the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards.

Similarly, Drake surprised fans two years ago after he brought Rihanna onstage to perform their collaborative hit, “Take Care,” during the rapper’s “Would You Like A Tour?” worldwide concert tour in February 2014.
