‘The Walking Dead’ Spoilers: Daryl And Rick Bond Again During Supply Run In ‘The Next World’ — Will Jesus Be Friend Or Foe?

The Walking Dead Season 6 is supposed to go out with a pretty big bang. Scott Gimple and Robert Kirkman have promised TWD fans that the action-packed mid-season premiere was just the beginning of what they have in store for the back half of the season, and it’s not slowing down anytime soon. That leads us to The Walking Dead Season 6, Episode 10, “The Next World,” where Rick and Daryl are going on a supply run together, and rumors suggest they run into Jesus along the way.

Norman Reedus recently talked to Entertainment Weekly about “The Next World” as well as the role that Daryl and Rick will play in it.

“He and I have a very special episode, the two of us,” said Reedus. “Those two characters really rely on each other, and they are kind of at their best when they’re back-to-back fighting, and we see that again.”

Who else can’t wait to see what Rick and Daryl get into when they’re out working together again?

Reedus talks about the obvious chemistry between himself and Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes on the AMC hit.

“There’s definitely an energy there when those two are back,” said Reedus. “People like to watch that, and we like to play that. There are certain dynamics on that show that just really work well all the time, no matter what those characters are doing.”

In the upcoming Season 6, Episode 10 of The Walking Dead, we’re told that time has skipped forward from the walker bloodbath seen at the end of the mid-season premiere. Order will have been restored, and all those walker bodies will be disposed of. Unfortunately, Alexandria will also be running out of some very necessary supplies, making it necessary for someone to go out searching for goods. Naturally, Rick and Daryl are going on that mission together so fans can see the duo back together again.

Eugene is said to have mapped out the perfect area for Rick and Daryl to forage for supplies, so they set off for a gas station outside the safe walls of Alexandria on a mission. During their trip, Rick and Daryl are supposed to share a few laughs and remind TWD fans of the close bond that the two men have. They also will be doing plenty of fighting together, another fan-favorite to watch because Rick and Daryl compliment each other in battle perfectly. While both are expected to survive the supply run in “The Next World,” they also meet up with another stranger and have to figure out if he is dangerous to them or not.

According to The Spoiling Dead Fans, Jesus is going to bump into Rick in the gas station. That is how Jesus gets the truck keys away from Rick. It happens to be the same truck that Rick and Daryl are filling up with supplies in what has been described as a goldmine for both groups. After Jesus convinces Rick and Daryl that he’s not a threat, they are sidetracked by some noise out behind the gas station. The men go to investigate and then realize that they have been tricked by fireworks as Jesus drives off with their truck.

The action doesn’t end there for Rick and Daryl, who are able to track down the truck and try to take it back from Jesus. After a struggle, Rick and Daryl win the truck back. They are able to get Jesus out of the truck and tied up, ready to just leave him there but somehow, Jesus manages to get back on top of the truck.

After Rick slams the brakes, Jesus rolls off the car and Daryl jumps out the chase him. While Rick is caught up fighting with some walkers, Jesus manages to get back in the truck with Daryl in hot pursuit. While Daryl and Jesus are fighting over the truck, Jesus proves that he’s not a real threat when he saves Daryl from a walker. He easily could have let the walker bite Daryl and the truck would have been his. Instead, the men continue to fight over the truck full of supplies until the parking brake gets disengaged and the whole mess ends up in the lake. Daryl and Jesus fell out of the truck before it rolled, and Jesus is knocked out cold. However, the supplies are destroyed.

In “The Next World,” The Walking Dead fans are left to wonder if Jesus is a real threat or not. We already know Negan is going to be a really bad man, and Jesus is certainly unknown at this point. His character was introduced in the comics and eventually became one of Rick’s closest allies. Of course, he didn’t have Daryl with him in the comic books, so things could play out a little differently, but we think that Rick and Jesus will still form a bond later in Season 6 or maybe even in Season 7. Jesus is a key character now, though, and will introduce the Alexandrians to the Hilltop Colony not far away.

The Walking Dead Season 6, Episode 10, “The Next World,” airs on Sunday, February 21 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
