Are Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton Engaged? Plus, Miranda Lambert’s BFF Gives Seal Of Approval After Feud Rumors

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton may not be currently engaged or pregnant as recent rumors claim, but they could be headed for an engagement. On February 14, Movie News Guide claimed Shelton was ready to pop the question, and was waiting for the perfect time to ask for Gwen Stefani’s hand in marriage.

According to the report, Shelton had previously considered asking Gwen Stefani to marry him on Valentine’s Day, but later had second thoughts after deeming the idea “cheesy” and “too obvious.”

Gwen Stefani and Shelton began starring on The Voice together during the NBC series’ seventh season, and during Season 9, their professional relationship turned personal. Prior to filming, Gwen Stefani and Shelton both parted ways with their former spouses, with Shelton announcing the end of his four-year marriage to Miranda Lambert in July, and Gwen Stefani revealing she and Gavin Rossdale were parting ways after a 13-year marriage in August.

Although Gwen Stefani and Shelton were first linked in October, at which point they were photographed looking quite cozy during a Halloween party, they didn’t go public with their romance until the following month during a Country Music Awards after party. Then, during the weeks that followed, the couple became more and more open with their romance and flirtation on The Voice.

In addition to their on-screen antics, Gwen Stefani and Shelton also began traveling with one another to places, including his hometown in Oklahoma, and her hometown in Southern California, where Shelton got acquainted with Gwen Stefani’s family and three sons, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo.

As Gwen Stefani’s romance with Shelton became more serious, the couple was plagued with rumors of engagements and pregnancies, and also targeted by reports, claiming they were at odds with Shelton’s ex-wife, Lambert. Most recently, In Touch Weekly claimed Lambert was fed up with her husband’s highly-publicized romance, and ready to face-off with Gwen Stefani.

“Miranda doesn’t hold back when she communicates with Blake, whether it’s through texts that she knows Gwen will see, phone calls or through mutual friends. Gwen feels Miranda is hurt and acting out when she does it. But even though she knows that, it doesn’t sting any less,” a source told the magazine, via Hollywood Life.

However, judging by a recent interview with Lambert’s best friend, the rumor doesn’t appear to be true.

During Monday night’s 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards in Los Angeles, Ashley Monroe spoke to Entertainment Tonight, and despite the ongoing rumors regarding possible tension between Gwen Stefani and Lambert, Monroe said she was a fan.

“I don’t know if Blake’s going to be here tonight, but if I see [Gwen Stefani] I’m gonna high-five her, because she’s awesome,” Monroe told the outlet. “I met her when I sang with Blake at The Voice a long time ago, and I’ll never forget, she said my voice was ‘dope!’ And I was like, ‘Yeah! That’s awesome.’ ”

While Gwen Stefani wasn’t seen during the GRAMMY Awards presentation, she was seen during a commercial break of the show, which was when she debuted her live music video for “Make Me Like You,” and one night prior, she and Shelton attended Clive Davis’ pre-GRAMMY gala in Los Angeles.

As for the relationship between rocker chic Gwen Stefani and country star Shelton, Monroe continued, “I think that any time you feel that in your heart, then you’re a good match, you know, you can find someone just like you and it not work. Find someone opposite and it does, and I like that about love.”
