Maci Bookout: ‘Teen Mom OG’ Star Announces Third Pregnancy

Maci Bookout and her fiancé, Taylor McKinney, had the perfect Valentine’s Day surprise!

In a post on her Instagram account, the Teen Mom OG star revealed that she is expecting her third child — the second for her and McKinney!

Along with a picture of her growing baby bump, Maci wrote: “#makingmoremoneys baby boy coming soon! happy valentine’s day! @tmon3yyy#lastbutnotleast.”

Prior to publicly announcing her pregnancy, Maci Bookout spoke to MTV about her impending bundle of joy, and how she felt when she found out she would be a mother to three children — two less than a year apart (baby Jayde “JC” was born on May 29, 2015, and the new baby is due on May 30… Irish twins anyone?). Although her pregnancy wasn’t planned, Maci said she is excited to be pregnant again.

“I found out I was pregnant with baby number three right after we got engaged,” Maci revealed. “It was not expected or a planned pregnancy.”

While most people would be nervous about having three children, Maci said she already knows what to expect since she has already gone through this twice before.

“Because it’s the third one, you know what’s going on,” Maci continued. “You’ve been there, done that a couple times now, so it’s sort of laid back.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Taylor McKinney popped the question to Maci last month, nearly three years after they first got together. Maci shared the exciting news with her fans on Instagram, posting a photo of the couple kissing while she flashed her new bling. She captioned the photo by saying, “Well y’all, my best friend asked me to marry him! I’m one lucky lady, I love you T!”

After the proposal, McKinney took part in a Facebook Q&A, where he addressed the harsh criticism he had received for waiting so long to propose to the mother of his child.

“Well that wasn’t planned but why should I rush a proposal just because we had a baby,” he wrote in response to one Facebook users question. “I wanted it to still be special to her. It might not be considered the ‘right way’ but it’s the way we ended up and we’re all good. Loving every minute of it.”

Although the proposal was kind of thrown together at the last minute, McKinney revealed that he had been working with a ring designer for months leading up to it, he was just waiting to ask Maci when the time was right.

“The proposal just came together last minute,” McKinney said. “But I had been working on the ring with Tara at Ring Finger Studios for a couple months,” he explained. “I told myself I didn’t care what anybody else had to say, I was gonna do it when I felt the time was right. And when it hit me I just went with it.”

Maci also spoke about the proposal, and how Taylor managed to trick her and make the whole thing a major surprise.

“We were on Venice Beach!” Bookout explained. “He (and MTV) had told me that I was going to do an interview for MTV.com, which turned out to be a complete trick just to get me to the beach for him to ask me. When he asked me to marry him, I was in complete shock. I couldn’t believe that it was actually happening, and to be honest, I couldn’t believe that he had pulled it off without me figuring it out…because I usually know everything!”

“I honestly don’t think it has actually ‘hit’ me yet,” she added. “But I am very excited and feel super blessed that I get to marry Taylor. He’s an amazing man and dad.”

Maci Bookout first appeared on MTV’s 16 and Pregnant with her ex-fiancé, Ryan Edwards, when they were expecting their first child, Bentley, who is now 7-years-old.
