Halle Berry Rushed To Hospital With Minor Head Injury


Halle Berry was rushed from the set of “The Hive” to the hospital Tuesday evening with a minor head injury which Berry sustained while filming a fight sequence on the set of, “The Hive.” TMZ reports Halle Berry hit her head on concrete after “taking a nasty fall.” Berry was transported to Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles at approximately 10 p.m.

The Los Angeles Times notes Halle Berry, 45, was taken to the hospital primarily as a precaution and has since been released. Berry reportedly continue production on “The Hive” very soon. Berry’s publicist told USA Today the actress received a clean bill of health from doctors at the hospital after the action scene shooting injury.

The Halle Berry movie is slated for a 2013 release and is directed by Brad Anderson.“The Hive,” a thriller which also stars Abigail Breslin, Tara Platt, Evie Thompson, Michael Linstroth, David Otunga (Jennifer Hudson’s fiance) will proceed as scheduled with filming. In “The Hive” an emergency operator is forced to confront a killer from her past in order to save a young girl’s life, IMBD notes. “The Hive” screenplay was written by Richard D’Ovidio.

The Academy Award winning actress is not new to movie filming injuries. While shooting “Gothika” she broke her arm, while filming “Die Another Day” Halle Berry endured an eye injury. Berry was also hospitalized while filming “Catwoman” after she was hit in the head with lighting equipment.

While is Spain last year enjoying a day off from filming “Cloud Atlas” Halle Berry injured her ankle and rode on a private plane home from Mallorca with crutches, according to E! Online.
