Joe Jonas’ Platinum Blonde Hair: Is He Copying Gigi Hadid’s New BF Zayn?

Is Joe Jonas really jacking Zayn Malik’s new look? Like the former One Direction singer, the DNCE frontman has been experimenting with different looks lately. Most recently, Joe has been rocking platinum blonde hair lately, making some wonder if he’s copying Zayn’s debut look.

According to new reports, Joe Jonas’ new blonde streaks looks suspiciously like Zayn Malik’s newly-dyed blonde locks. What makes this even more interesting (and rather strange) is that the Jonas brother used to date model Gigi Hadid, who is now dating Malik. Some wonder if the former JoBro’s new hair color has anything to do with the former boy bander.

Joe Jonas started his new look by showing off a blonde streak in his hair – a look that Zayn debuted back in 2012. Now Zayn has been bringing back that look with having blond highlights in his hair. Joe has been showing off his newly color blonde locks on his social media pages. And according to his Instagram, Joe’s hair has been dyed blonde since around Jan. 18, while Zayn’s hair has been blonde since he bleached it on-and-off since early Dec. 2015.

Joe Jonas started his hair color obsession when he dyed his hair blue for the 2015 American Music Awards. Since then, Jonas has dyed his hair green and pastel colors. Malik has also been seen with both bright green and bluish hair during his solo music takeover. It’s kind of odd that both guys have been rocking similar looks lately.

This comes in the same week that Zayn Malik confirmed that he’s dating Gigi Hadid. In an interview with Zach Sang & the Gang, the “Pillowtalk” singer was asked what it was like to film with his girlfriend.

Co-host Jillian Gutowitz asked, “Was it cool to have your girlfriend in the video?”

Zayn paused, and then admitted, “Uh, yeah. That was cool. It was something different. We enjoyed it. It was fun.”

Then Gutowitz asked, “No one easier to make out with than your own girlfriend, right?”

Malik joked, “Exactly. I like what you’ve done there.”

Then, Gigi Hadid spoke out in the March 2015 issue of Love magazine on what it’s like to date someone in the same industry as her. It’s not like she hasn’t before. Gigi has been previously linked to Australian singer Cody Simpson before hooking up with both Zayn and Joe.

“It’s the same thing as dating someone within in the industry rather than out of the industry. You only understand it when you’re literally experiencing it.”

Gigi Hadid called it quits with Joe Jonas because their crazy schedules got in the way of their relationship. But sources close to the model revealed that she wasn’t that into him. As for Jonas, he has felt “blindsided” by Hadid’s new romance with Malik after he saw them together at an AMAs after-party.

“Joe was completely blindsided when he found out that Gigi and Zayn were an item. He was under the impression that she wasn’t going to see anyone for awhile. The main reason why they broke up in the first place was because of her busy schedule. Gigi told Joe that her career was too demanding for a relationship. That she basically didn’t have the time for one because she needed to focus on her career. She’s obviously making the time for Zayn!”

And it looks like their relationship is moving rather quickly. Sources close to Hadid and Malik say that they’re already getting serious. They have also been previously spotted apartment hunting in New York City. As for Jonas, he’s been seen moving on with a group of girls in West Hollywood after slapping down money for a bachelor pad in the Hollywood Hills earlier this week.
